Today marks a very somber moment in the United States of America. Our nation is in turmoil as Democrats resort to desperate measures to stop President Trump from returning to the White House. They’ve literally upended our republic, indicting Trump on sham charges aimed at creating chaos, undermining our justice system, and interfering with yet another national election. Today, President Trump bravely faced the first criminal trial—a flimsy misdemeanor case (at best) centered around so-called “hush money” payments. The prosecution’s star witnesses? A D-list porn actress and a disgraced liar.

Trump walked into the courtroom decrying “persecution” as he readied himself to take part in this historic and shameful trial.

Despite the obvious sham and political witch-hunt, it’s clear that Trump won’t receive a fair trial in the Swamp.

Washington Examiner:

Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker shared his concerns that former President Donald Trump won’t face a “fair” jury ahead of his criminal hush money trial.

Whitaker, who was appointed to acting attorney general by Trump when he was president, appeared on Newsmax’s Saturday Report to offer his legal analysis of what he called a “weak case” against the former president. Trump is facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York, to which he has pleaded not guilty. This is the only criminal trial that has the potential to issue a verdict before the 2024 elections.

On Sunday, President Trump posted this statement on Truth Social about the sham trial:

Just four years ago I was a very popular and successful President of the United States, getting more votes than any sitting President in history. Tomorrow morning I’ll be in Criminal Court, before a totally conflicted Judge, a Corrupt Prosecutor, a Legal System in CHAOS, a State being overrun by violent crime and corruption, and Crooked Joe Biden’s henchmen “Rigging the System” against his Political Opponent, ME! I will be fighting for myself but, much more importantly, I will be fighting for our Country. Election Interference like this has never happened in the USA before and, hopefully, will never happen again. We are now a Nation in serious Decline, a Failing Nation, but we will soon be a Great Nation Again. November 5th will be the most important day in the History of the United States. MAGA2024! SEE YOU TOMORROW.

It’s truly astounding to watch this happen in America, and even more disturbing to see Americans simply watching it unfold.

Professor Turley is baffled by this absurd “Frankenstein Case” against President Trump:

Let’s not forget that Stormy Daniels herself wrote a statement denying the affair and the so-called “hush money” case.

RELATED: Oops: Stormy Daniels unequivocally stated in writing that the affair and ‘hush money’ never happened…

This political witch hunt is so extreme that it would make the North Koreans blush. As a matter of fact, Elise Stefanik recently reminded everyone how she filed a criminal referral against the disgraced liar Michael Cohen a year ago. Cohen, now being touted as Alvin Bragg’s “star witness,” was caught lying to Congress. Yet, no action has been taken against him. It simply doesn’t fit with their agenda to destroy President Trump. This is the shambles our current injustice system is in.

Elise Stefanik:

Last year I led a criminal referral demanding that AG Merrick Garland immediately investigate Michael Cohen for lying to Congress. The DOJ still refuses to charge the disgraced, disbarred attorney who admitted his guilt.

Now, Soros-funded Alvin Bragg is relying on disgraced Michael Cohen as his key witness in his sham case. The double standard of justice is clear.

While many Americans recognize the absurdity of it all, it doesn’t make the situation any less concerning. The Democrats’ relentless pursuit of power is wreaking havoc on our nation and tearing us apart. Vivek Ramaswamy’s recent video on X perfectly highlights this dire situation while delivering a much-deserved bodyslam to Fat Alvin.

Here’s what he said:

Alvin Bragg‘s case against Trump rests on the ludicrous legal premise that a candidate must use *campaign* funds to make personal hush money payments. Yet if Trump had done that, they’d undoubtedly be going after him for that. This isn’t the pursuit of justice, it’s a political persecution that is tearing our country apart.

And let’s not forget that Alvin Bragg has raised nearly one million dollars since filing this sham indictment against President Trump.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has raised over $800,000 since indicting former President Donald Trump over the payments that his 2016 presidential campaign made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the election.

State campaign finance data shows that Bragg has raked in $845,253 between March 30, 2023, and the latest reporting date, January 12, 2024. Donations from New York State accounted for an overwhelming majority, 72 percent, of the over 800 contributions he received over that time period. Only one of his 20 largest donations was an out-of-state contribution.

Nothing to see here, folks, just one of the most corrupt governments on earth unleashing holy political terror. So much so that Elon Musk swooped in from stage right and delivered yet another blow to Fat Alvin and the entire Democratic Party—a party he himself was once a part of not too long ago. This was his response to Vivek’s video:

It seems like with every critical misstep, the left is inadvertently pushing Elon Musk (and others) further toward embracing right-wing ideas. If they’re curious about who’s actually “radicalizing” individuals on the right, they might want to take a good, hard look in the mirror. Meanwhile, Revolver has been diligently covering the legal battles against President Trump for quite some time now. Many would say that Trump’s indictment became inevitable after January 6, after he announced his 2024 campaign. Those voices would be wrong, though. The indictment of Donald Trump has been inevitable since the moment Trump won the 2016 election, because all along, winning that election with the transformative America First message campaigned on has always been the “real” crime of Donald Trump.

That truth is proven by the sheer scale of the investigations into Trump, as the many haters and losers scramble for any way to put him away for good. First there was Crossfire Hurricane, sparked by James Comey and others deciding that desiring normal relations with Russia was evidence of criminal behavior. Then there was the absurd and seemingly endless Mueller probe in reaction to Trump firing then FBI director James Comey. Besides the pending Manhattan case, Trump may also soon be indicted for “election interference” in Fulton County, Georgia, or for “insurrection” on January 6, or for improper handling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

Every one of these cases is a trivial farce. Whether Georgia was stolen in 2020 or not, there is zero doubt that Trump genuinely thought it was. Trump wasn’t at the Capitol on January 6, and did nothing that day besides encourage protests. And as for classified documents, as president Trump could literally declassify any document he wanted with his mind.

And yet, of all those, the charges expected to come down this week might be the silliest of all.

How weak is Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump? Just to bring his coming indictment, Bragg had to resurrect an investigation after scuttling it for lack of a compelling case. Though the investigation started with grandiose dreams of finding massive tax violations or unwinding a vast criminal business empire, Bragg eventually had to settle for looking at Trump lawyer’s Michael Cohen’s alleged hush money payouts to stripper Stormy Daniels. Paying hush money isn’t a crime, though, so Bragg has to argue these de facto blackmail payments violated New York reporting standards for businesses. Even that crime is only a misdemeanor; to make it a felony, Bragg will have to argue that Trump’s hush money payments were ackshually an illegal contribution to his own campaign. In other words, New York officials will argue that Trump, who had the right to spend an unlimited amount of his own money on his campaign, broke campaign finance law by reimbursing his personal lawyer out of his own pocket for a nuisance payoff related to activity that allegedly occurred a decade prior to the campaign. The claim is a legal travesty. Over the past seven years, the criminal case against Trump has fallen from “secret meetings with Putin to betray America” to this unholy procedural abortion.

How political is Bragg’s case? When he was elected, Bragg published a “Day One” memo announcing he would no longer prosecute “low-level” crimes like fare evasion, prostitution, or resisting arrest, and would rely on “community solutions and support services” to combat epidemic shoplifting. Bragg is also the overgrown vermin who tried to charge bodega owner Jose Alba with murder for defending himself against a violent criminal.
