At some point, you need to know when to say “enough” and make your exit. We’ve reached that point in this GOP primary, although it was never much of a contest. President Trump has consistently been the front-runner, despite media attempts (including those by Fox News) to gaslight you. While the media plays the ratings game and tries to thwart Trump, and the GOP establishment looks for alternatives, the base remains firmly in Trump’s corner. It’s a standoff, and it needs to come to an end, especially in light of the latest poll, which should be a game-changer for the so-called “challengers,” or perhaps more accurately, the “wannabes.”

As of now, President Trump maintains a solid 65 percent support, while the rest of the field has fallen so far behind that they are now in single digits. We’ve entered the realm of “mathematically impossible” for these candidates, and if they continue to stay in, you have to ask yourself, why?

Right on cue, Axios is reporting that the GOPe NeverTrumpers are throwing in the towel:

A growing number of anti-Trump Republicans are giving up — and giving into the belief that nothing will stop him from winning the GOP’s presidential nomination.

Why it matters: Despite former President Trump‘s poor record in the last three elections, his increasingly violent rhetoric and four felony indictments, many anti-Trump Republicans quietly are stepping back from pushing for an alternative. They’ve concluded that the GOP’s base can’t quit Trump.

State of play: Win It Back, a political action committee (PAC) affiliated with the conservative group Club for Growth, says it burned through $6 million creating 40 anti-Trump messages — none of them effective, the New York Times reported.

These new numbers from SurveyUSA should serve as a wake-up call for the candidates. The people have spoken loudly and clearly, and now it’s time to come together with some much-needed unity, rally around the president, and invest money, time, and resources to defeat whoever the Democrats put on the stage in 2024. And if they don’t do that, you have to wonder why. Are they staying in to help the GOP destroy Trump’s chances by hogging money and resources that could be used to shore up our side and build a wall against more massive cheating? Or are these players nothing more than narcissistic, greedy scam artists and fraudsters who are doing this to cash in on their 15 minutes of fame? Finally, is there something else coming against Trump that they know about and are waiting for it to drop in hopes that he’s removed from the race and they’ll finally have a shot?

To be honest with you, those are the only options left, and all three of them are horrible. They prove once again that the people supposedly on “our side” have more in common with the left than they do with the America First wing of this party, and that’s a real shame.
