Revolver’s very own Darren Beattie delivered a rant on Speaker Mike Johnson that has generated quite a bit of discussion. Johnson is the talk of the town thanks to his dramatic shift from a MAGA hopeful to a Deep State stooge in no time flat. How did we get here? Many see it as a classic example of “Congressional Capture,” where a politician flips allegiances astonishingly fast thanks to cleverly concocted CIA briefings. Revolver has been at the forefront, reporting on this phenomenon and shedding light on how and why these politicians switch sides from “friend” to “foe” so quickly.

Revolver:

Obviously, there’s a big change happening. Johnson entered the DC Swamp roaring like a MAGA lion and emerged whispering like an establishment RINO. The transformation is so obvious, it’s impossible to miss. Here’s Johnson alongside former Speaker and noted RINO turncoat Paul Ryan. Truly, a picture worth a million unthinkable words.

So, what exactly is “Congressional capture” that Snowden speaks of, and how does it work? Well, it’s simple in theory but can be quite complex in practice, shaping itself around each politician.

In short, “Congressional capture” is when lawmakers or legislative bodies fall under the heavy influence of outside interests, like big corporations, special interest groups, or US intel. These influences ensure that their agendas take precedence over the public’s needs. In simple terms, this means certain policies or laws that favor these groups are advanced, while criticism or resistance is quietly suppressed. Suddenly, their most ferocious critics become their biggest cheerleaders.

Edward Snowden believes Speaker Johnson is showing textbook signs of ‘Congressional capture’…

Ever wondered what the GOP would look like without President Trump steering the ship? Think Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Maybe partially, but Darren points out a clearer picture: just take a look at the sad, uninspiring face of Speaker Johnson. That’s the real glimpse of today’s GOP without Trump, as Darren explained in a compelling interview with Jack Posobiec, the editor of Human Events.

Here’s the rant that has generated much discussion, leading even Darren to wonder whether his words were just a little too harsh, a little too honest.

The GOP has turned into a giant suckfest. But how did we land in this bleak, uninspiring spot? Revolver has been digging deep into this, calling out the mess for what it is. Our latest piece tackled how these so-called “constitutional conservatives,” who remind you of Paul Ryan, have fallen into the clutches of CIA operatives—captured and manipulated into doing the bidding of the Biden Regime. It’s clear as day: we’re stuck in a one-party system. Yet, some on the right hold onto the wild fantasy that we can push a MAGA politician past the establishment gatekeepers and land an America First champion as Speaker of the House. That’s an insane pipe dream, given our current state of affairs.

Revolver:

Right now, there’s quite the buzz in conservative circles about Speaker Johnson, with a heated debate on whether we were actually better off with McCarthy leading the charge. A lot of folks are pretty frustrated and taking their anger out on lawmakers like Matt Gaetz. Why? Because Gaetz held McCarthy accountable to his promises—which McCarthy didn’t keep—and that led to him being ousted. When Mike Johnson burst onto the speaker stage, there was a glimmer of hope, thanks to his past pro-MAGA stances. But that optimism was quickly crushed. In what seemed like record time, Johnson shifted from being a MAGA hopeful to a Deep State puppet. The big question is: how and why did this happen? Most people reckon he was “captured” by the CIA through a series of private, well-coordinated briefings—a tactic used on most, if not all, of our elected officials in some form or another.

The bottom line is clear: the new speaker has been compromised and is a literal disaster for our cause. Johnson might as well be the best Democrat Speaker we’ve ever seen, given how things are turning out.

In other words, the point Darren made about ousting Johnson on principle is fine, because yes, he deserves to go, but if you think someone better, stronger, and “uncaptured” is waiting in the wings, you don’t understand what’s really going on. The Revolver piece goes on:

Here’s the harsh reality: The United States is a one-party republic, quietly governed by a “uni-party” regime. This setup is becoming more obvious to everyone as this cabal scrambles to cling to power. Whoever sits in the Speaker’s chair eventually ends up playing by the uniparty’s rules—that’s just how our system has evolved. We, the people, have lost focus on what’s important, and in the meantime, a massive network of unelected bureaucrats and elites has quietly taken the reins. And if you think the average Joe or Jane from a small district in Kansas can outmaneuver this entrenched and powerful network, then you’re not fully understanding what we’re truly up against.

Now, this isn’t a message of defeat. We can and will overcome these ghouls, but it’s going to take a lot more than just debating between McCarthy and Johnson, two ends of the same turd. That’s a distraction. We have bigger fish to fry, and the better we understand their goals and what we’re really up against, the quicker we can come up with a plan that will strike at their core.

RELATED: Before you slam Matt Gaetz for ousting Speaker McCarthy, remember this one vital nugget of truth…

We need to clean house, kicking out the troublemakers—both the ones we elected and the ones we didn’t—before we can even start to think about making a real change. It’s high time we get serious if we’re aiming for real progress. Remember Darren’s words: the GOP is a total letdown. Without President Trump, they lack any real spark or charisma, and it’s clear that almost all of them are snug in the pockets of the uni-party regime.
