President Trump knows exactly how to throw a match into a can of gasoline. This time, he aimed it straight at Ilhan Omar.

In a single tweet, he questioned her record, her loyalty to the country she supposedly represents, and the pattern of abuse and fraud tied to Somali migration that many Americans have watched unfold in horror. Trump wasn’t subtle at all. He was baiting her…

And Ilhan took it. Hook, line, and sinker.

What happened next was over the top, and a lot of people are now saying it could be her biggest mistake yet. For a congresswoman already under serious investigation over her “sudden wealth,” this is the last kind of attention she needs.

Here’s the tweet that set her off.

Ilhan responded, but she was so triggered that she may have made her most critical mistake yet. She suggested Trump should be executed.

Paul A. Szypula:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wrongly calls President Trump “leader of the Ped*phile Protection Party” and calls for him to be exec*ted. @SpeakerJohnson
needs to have Ilhan removed from all her committee assignments and censured. Then he must work to have Ilhan expelled and deported.

There is a line between political rhetoric, like what Trump said, and something far darker. When a sitting member of Congress says, “At least in Somalia they execute pedophiles, not elect them,” she knows exactly what that means. You can’t casually mention execution in reference to a sitting president who has already survived two assassination attempts and pretend it’s just X banter.

We’re living in a moment where left-wing political violence is not soaring. The temperature in this country is already sky-high.

And here’s the bigger problem for Ilhan Omar. She didn’t just lash out violently at Trump. She showed a level of volatility that raises serious questions about her judgment. For someone already under heavy scrutiny, a move this dramatic and ugly looked like pressure cracking.

You can disagree with Trump and criticize him. But when you flirt with words that normalize execution in the middle of a violent political climate, that’s a whole new level of scandal.

And now, this has people asking the biggest question of all.

George Santos was shown the door so fast it gave people whiplash. Republicans turned on him and didn’t wait for some long legal saga. They cut him loose before he was ever formally charged. The message was simple: if you become a liability, you don’t get protection.

So why doesn’t that same standard apply to Ilhan?

Omar is sitting in Congress right now while facing serious scrutiny and multiple investigations tied to alleged fraud, money laundering, and immigration questions, like this:

Mila Joy:

Do NOT let this fade. Keep the pressure on. Ilhan Omar and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi’s (Omar’s BROTHER) marriage certificate. This incestuous SICKO married her full blood brother to skirt immigration laws. Denaturalize and deport her.

And now, she just posted rhetoric that crossed a dangerous line, yet there’s no rush to distance, no urgency, and no moral grandstanding about protecting “the institution” and “precious democracy.”

This is what drives decent people crazy.

When Republicans have a problem, they are told to clean house immediately or be accused of hypocrisy and “racism,” blah blah blah. And when they do cave and clean house, just like they did with Santos, the same Dems who demanded accountability go silent when it’s their own.

If George Santos was expelled in record time to protect the so-called “credibility” of Congress, then the same standard should apply to Omar. If it doesn’t, then this was never about ethics. It’s always been about power, and Dems seem to hold onto it no matter who controls Congress or the White House.
