There are soft-on-crime decisions… we see them every day from left-wing judges. And then there are decisions that are so insane, they make ordinary Americans wonder whether parts of the justice system have completely lost their minds.
This story is one of them.

In Jefferson County, a jury listened to the evidence in an extremely violent kidnapping and rape case and recommended a 65-year prison sentence for the monster who did this. The defendant, Christopher Thompson, abducted a woman in her own vehicle, robbed her, and raped her at gunpoint… twice.
The jury heard it all, and they decided 65 years was appropriate.
That should’ve been the end of the story, right? Lock him up and throw away the key. But of course, when a DEI activist judge is involved, that’s never the end.
The presiding judge, Tracy Davis, cut that recommendation in half to thirty years.
That’s right, thirty years for a violent kidnapping, robbery, and rape. Maybe you’re thinking, did the defendant show tremendous remorse, and was he begging for forgiveness?
Uh, no. He was rude, verbally abusive, and showed no remorse whatsoever, not even during sentencing.
But according to this judge, the rapist is also some kind of “victim,” and she just can’t imagine locking a young black African American up for 65 years.
Court documents say Thompson kidnapped the woman in her own vehicle and forced her to perform oral sex on him in a school parking lot. Then, he drove her to an ATM, robbed the woman, drove back to the school lot and sodomized her at gunpoint again.
Thompson’s sentencing hearing was marked by repeated disruptions, profanity and direct insults toward Judge Tracy Davis.
“Before we even get appearances, Mr. Thompson, I’m going to need you to be respectful,” Davis said.
“I ain’t doing nothing. Eat my d**k,” Thompson responded.
Moments later, the exchange escalated.
“It’s fine. Okay? It’s fine,” Davis said.
“If I could spit on you, I would,” Thompson replied.
“At the end of the day, I’m the one with the pen,” Davis said.
“I don’t care,” Thompson said.
Despite the continued outbursts, the court proceeded with sentencing. Prosecutors urged Davis to impose the jury’s recommended 65-year sentence.
“I don’t have sympathy for nobody. I don’t have sympathy for you, the victim, the victim’s family, I don’t care. Boo hoo,” Thompson said during the hearing.
Davis ultimately imposed a 30-year sentence, citing Thompson’s age and the possibility of rehabilitation — even as Thompson continued interrupting.
“I don’t care. I don’t care,” Thompson said.
“Unfortunately he fell through the cracks and ended up in this court as an 18 or 19-year-old,” Davis said. “This court does not believe Mr. Thompson, if given the resources that he can get while incarcerated, is beyond being rehabilitated.”
As you can clearly see, this wasn’t a man pleading for a second chance. This wasn’t some humble, remorseful guy expressing regret or humility.

This was a nasty, evil convicted kidnapper and rapist openly taunting the judge, insulting the victim, and declaring he had no sympathy for anyone involved.
And yet this dangerous activist judge still cut the sentence in half.

As you saw, Judge Davis cited Thompson’s age and the possibility of “rehabilitation,” saying she didn’t believe he was beyond being helped.
Gee, rehabilitation arguments might carry more weight if the defendant isn’t sitting in open court telling everyone he doesn’t care. But what makes all of this even more troubling is the broader pattern at work.
Judge Davis’ private social media reportedly shows her describing herself as “Diversity Davis.” Quite a moniker, right?
This is the judge who just cut a convicted and unrepentant rapist’s sentence in half explicitly because he’s black. Her handle is literally “Diversity Davis” and she has her pronouns listed. Beyond parody. There should be a civil rights investigation launched into this ridiculous clown immediately.

Perhaps none of this should shock anyone, especially when you look at this woman’s DEI business background and mediocre education.
This fine legal mind brags online that she’s a “certified Diversity Equity and Inclusion professional” who ran a diversity consulting company. She graduated from a law school that’s so bad that it admits about 70% of all applicants. https://t.co/3sSP0SU207

Do we honestly think the victim who was kidnapped at gunpoint, forced to perform sexual acts, sodomized, and robbed is calculating the difference between 30 years and 65 years as some abstract debate about rehabilitation theory for young black men?
No. She’s wondering why she was just victimized again.
You don’t have to be “right-wing” to see the problem here with the left’s DEI push and their pro-criminal/soft-on-crime agenda.

There was a time when violent kidnapping and rape cases weren’t treated like social science experiments. Sadly, thanks to DEI and activist judges, those days are over until we get serious and start removing these dangers from the bench.
