It is with a heavy heart that we share that Scott Adams has passed away after a valiant fight against cancer.

In his final days on this earth, Scott did what he loved most. He connected with people, shared his thoughts freely, and accepted Jesus Christ into his life.

Scott passed on the morning of January 13th, 2026.

This is the final message from Scott, which was uploaded to his X page today.

Here’s a closeup of Scott’s letter:

Scott was a force of nature, both in his comics and in his politics. He had an incredible way of connecting with people and educating the masses on topics others were afraid to touch. He was a staunch conservative, a voice of compassion and reason, and a true fighter who never gave up and spoke out until his last breath.

Tributes began pouring in almost immediately. President Trump wrote a message on Truth Social.

We’d like to share some of them with you now, as we remember the man who helped change the world as we know it.

David:

Scott Adams has passed away today at 68 after a fierce battle with metastatic prostate cancer. The creator of Dilbert, master persuader, and unfiltered truth-teller left an indelible mark—skewering corporate absurdity, decoding human behavior like few others, and never backing down from saying what others wouldn’t. His daily “Coffee” streams were a ritual for so many of us: sharp insights, dark humor, relentless logic, and that signature systems-thinking lens on everything from politics to persuasion to life itself. Even in his final months, facing the end with brutal honesty, he kept showing up, updating us, and refusing to sugarcoat reality. He recently embraced faith in Christ—quietly turning toward something bigger—which felt like the ultimate persuasion play: hedging eternity just in case the model holds. Rest in peace, Scott. You changed how millions see the world, one strip and one rant at a time. Your work outlives you, and that’s no small thing. Thoughts with his family and everyone who felt like they knew him through the screen. #ScottAdams #Dilbert

Here are some additional tributes:

“The great Scott Adams died this morning but my heart is filled with joy to know that he gave his heart to Jesus before he died. “I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior, and look forward to spending an eternity with Him.” I like to think Jesus is having coffee with him now.”

“Scott Adams has passed away after a long battle with prostate cancer. Shortly before he passed, Adams announced he was giving his life to Christ and converting to Christianity. Rest in Peace, @ScottAdamsSays. You will be missed.”

“See you in paradise Scott”

“Rest in peace, Scott Adams. You gave your knowledge, wisdom, and humor to millions of us around the world. Grateful that you found God in your final days. We are praying for you. ”

“RIP Scott Adams. You will be greatly missed. I pray that your journey continues and that you have made it home.”

“Scott Adams has passed away. One of the greatest cartoonists I’ve ever met on this planet. You will be missed, sir. “

Scott impacted countless lives. As news of his passing continues to spread, even more tributes will pour in. But there’s one message we especially want to share with you, from someone whose life was changed because of Scott. His name is Omar.

Scott Adams had a tremendous impact on my life and family. I want to share the impact he’s had along with what Ive learned from him directly or from the result of what Ive learned from his livestream/books.

I was introduced to him back in 2015. As a result of X and mutual friends like Zuby we began following each other.

After reading his books I reached out directly to him for mentorship. He didnt have to reply. But he did.

He shared his cell and immediately facetimed me.

We talked about my career (I wasnt an entrepreneur yet) life and more. Most importantly is that I felt that I finally found a mentor who I can learn from as my late mentor Chris Sells passed that summer and strangely enough on the same day as Scott’s birthday.

For the next 10 years Scott had a tremendous impact on my life. Here are a few things that happened that when I honestly trace back, all of these things I can say have a through-line to Scott Adams.

First, using what I learned from him, specifically how to author my reality and move through it, I was able to meet the love of my life who was half way around the world.

The systems approach I learned from Scott literally made it so we could meet and make our relationship work.

We got married the same year and she became a major catalyst for my life.

I got in much better shape and improved major parts of my life.

I got off of stimulants (part of the adhd generation) after being on them for close to a decade. I figured out how to unlock my own personal talent stack and continue to add to it.

This has resulted in me leveling up in life in so many ways. I now bring the best version of myself to my professional life and personal life.

I dont know how much it influenced it but taking what I learned from Scott we somehow managed to not only have a healthy happy child but probably the most ideal and perfect first son any man can ask for.

Uncle Scott (as we call him) even showed up for our virtual baby shower which meant the world to us.

The same year my wife gave birth was the year I decided to take a major leap in life and become an entrepreneur.

Problem was I had no idea what to do, how to make money, let alone support a family.

But I took what I learned from Scott on the user interface of reality, systems vs goals, and a few other life altering skills and put them to work.

The result was not only finding a path to massive success that continues to multiply ever year, but also unlocking a world of wealth, not just financially but also from a spiritual and personal level.

Today, I look at my life and see that I have a loving wife, beautiful children, an exciting/thriving business, and a foundation of systems that guide my family and I to live out our most fulfilled life…..

And so many aspects of that can be tracked to our favorite Uncle, the internet’s favorite surrogate father Scott Adams.

When news first broke about Scott I messaged him about what legacy does he want most. He needed to think about it but his first response was talent stacking.

I can say as someone who has learned directly and indirectly from him, talent stacking is literally the tip of the iceberg for the influence he has had, not only on myself but my family as well as thousands of people who follow my podcast in the medtech industry.

We love you Scott. Your spirit will continue to live on for a long time and will continue to inspire generations on how to live life and not only get the most out of it but give the most to it.

Our prayers go out to Scott’s family as they grieve this tremendous loss. But while our hearts are heavy, they are also filled with the comfort of knowing that Scott is in the presence of Jesus Christ, the Savior he accepted into his heart before leaving this earth.

Rest in greatness and peace, Scott. You will be missed.
