After a conservative by the name of Ella Cook was assassinated at Brown University, the details didn’t just trickle out. They had to be dragged into the light, thanks to the woke officials who were overseeing the case.

What authorities are now confirming raises questions the media clearly hoped wouldn’t be an issue, starting with who the shooter was and how he got here and why certain facts were slow-walked.
As police began publicly identifying the suspect, the story immediately became more complicated than many in the media were prepared to deal with. The Providence, Rhode Island, Chief of Police confirmed the identity of the Brown University shooter, along with several details that changed how this case should be understood.
BREAKING:
The Providence, RI Chief of Police says the Brown University shooter was a Portuguese national named Claudio Neves Valenti. He was 48 years old and his last address was listed in Miami, Florida.
The shooter was an immigrant student and a Muslim who shouted Allahu Akbar. This is why Brown covered it up.
They wanted to protect an immigrant student. They should be held accountable. Part of their settlement agreement with the Trump admin was to limit the amount of foreign students and to have stricter standards for foreign students.

The killer was a foreign national… an immigrant student who was found dead by suicide before a motive could ever be fully examined.
Some believe that’s a very convenient outcome for the left.
The Brown University shooter has apparently died of a self inflicted gunshot wound and with him likely went the truth of what actually happened.

And, of course, the left-wing-run institutions had every reason to keep this story as quiet and as shadowy as possible.
But now that some of the facts are finding their way out, Americans are noticing a pattern. When violence and immigration clash, the press hesitates and gets nervous. And when accountability threatens powerful institutions, like Brown University, the narrative gets soft and wishy-washy.

But this case didn’t disappear. And neither have the questions.
Within days of the assassination of Ella Cook, President Trump addressed the part of this story that nobody in the Swamp wants to talk about.
He’s suspending the Visa Lottery program, effective immediately. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem released this statement on X:
The Brown University shooter, Claudio Manuel Neves Valente entered the United States through the diversity lottery immigrant visa program (DV1) in 2017 and was granted a green card. This heinous individual should never have been allowed in our country.
In 2017, President Trump fought to end this program, following the devastating NYC truck ramming by an ISIS terrorist, who entered under the DV1 program, and murdered eight people.
At President Trump’s direction, I am immediately directing USCIS to pause the DV1 program to ensure no more Americans are harmed by this disastrous program.

This sketchy program has been a disaster for the American people.
The programme makes up to 50,000 visas available each year through a random selection process among entries from countries with low rates of immigration to the US.
Writing on social media, Noem said Trump had previously “fought to end” the scheme in 2017 after eight people were killed in a truck-ramming attack in New York City.
Uzbekistan national Sayfullo Saipov, an Islamic State supporter who is serving multiple life sentences for the attack, entered the US through the DV1 scheme, according to Noem.
Her comments come just hours after Neves Valente was found dead in a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire, from what police believe is a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police said video evidence and tips from the public led investigators to a car rental location where they found the suspect’s name and matched him to their person of interest, following a six-day multi-state manhunt.
He was found dead with a satchel and two firearms. Evidence in a car nearby matched to the scene of the shooting at Brown University in Providence, according to Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha.
Brown University President Christina Paxson said Neves Valente was enrolled at the Ivy League school from the autumn of 2000 to the following spring, and was studying for a PhD in physics.
He had “no current active affiliation” to Brown, she said.
Officials said they believe Neves Valente shot and killed MIT professor Nuno F Gomes Loureiro, 47, on Monday at his home in Brookline, which is about 50 miles (80km) from Providence.
Both men had studied at the same university in Portugal in the late 1990s, police said.
Officials said the cases were linked when the suspect’s vehicle was identified via CCTV footage and a witness at Brown University.
The same car was spotted near the scene of the professor’s shooting, which happened just two days later.
Authorities have not provided any suspected motive for either of the attacks.
For years, immigration concerns were always framed around illegals. But now, Americans are looking at the legal immigration system and seeing major problems there too.
This quote from Senator Eric Schmitt says it all.
“For too long, many Republicans have confined their criticisms of mass migration to illegal immigration. But the truth is that our entire legal immigration system is broken—and the consequences for Americans have been nothing short of disastrous.”

Programs that admit foreign nationals through student visas or lottery-based green cards clearly have limited vetting and shoddy oversight… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
In this case, the suspect entered the US through a legal pathway. That matters because it shows gaps in how legal admissions are monitored and reassessed. It also raises questions about whether institutions and federal agencies are structured and organized enough to put public safety first.

Obviously, there are serious red flags here. Pausing the program gives policymakers time to evaluate whether it provides any real benefit to the American people or whether the risks outweigh whatever supposed “purpose” it was meant to serve.
Many believe that review will only confirm what has already become clear, that the program should be scrapped.
