Something about the Thomas Crooks story has never added up, and Tucker Carlson just dropped a bomb. According to Tucker, both the Biden administration and Trump’s FBI don’t want you knowing anything about the man who tried to assassinate Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The FBI told us Thomas Crooks tried to kill Donald Trump last summer but somehow had no online footprint. The FBI lied, and we can prove it because we have his posts. The question is why? Story tomorrow.

And when the government goes silent on the most politically explosive attempted assassination in modern history, you have to ask the obvious question: Why?

Tucker lays out a disturbing pattern. The FBI claimed Crooks had “no online footprint.” They said he had no posts, no comments, nothing… it was as if he lived off the grid in some cave. But that wasn’t the truth. Because Tucker’s team dug up what the FBI supposedly missed – years of posts, comments, searches, extremist ramblings, and violent rhetoric.
So, the FBI told the public one thing, while reality appears to show something totally different.
So what does all of this mean?
Well, Tucker’s theory is simple and terrifying: the FBI’s silence isn’t incompetence… it’s intentional.
Because the truth about Thomas Crooks might raise questions the government doesn’t want the country asking. And why would Trump’s FBI keep critical information under wraps? Some would argue that at the end of the day, the “government,” no matter who’s in charge, will always do whatever it takes to protect itself.
However, Trump’s FBI was quick to respond to Tucker’s claims, saying they never said Crooks had no online presence.
This FBI has never said Thomas Crooks had no online footprint. Ever. https://t.co/nJ6S4CWIp0

Journalist Glenn Greenwald points out that last year, Dan Bongino, the current FBI Deputy Director, said they were told Crooks had no online presence — but even he admitted that sounded bizarre and improbable. And if that’s the case, why didn’t the FBI come out and acknowledge that Crooks did in fact have a significant and deeply concerning online footprint?

“They got into every phone of every January 6th protester … but they couldn’t get into this guy’s multiple phones? I’m wholly unsatisfied as to who this guy was, how he got there, and what the hell he was doing.”

So here’s what Tucker walks us through in the clip below. He takes the FBI’s official story, the one claiming Crooks was basically a “nobody” with no digital history, and he compares it to what his own investigation uncovered. And as you can imagine, the two versions don’t match.
Tucker shows Crooks had a long, documented online footprint: violent posts, extremist comments, weird searches, personal information, connections, interactions, and all the things the FBI said didn’t exist.
He then asks the obvious question the media refuses to touch: how did the nation’s top domestic surveillance agency “miss” all of this? How did the FBI, which can spy on grandmas texting about January 6, somehow fail to find the digital trail of a man who tried to blow the head off a US president?
Tucker believes he knows the answer, and once you hear the evidence, you’ll understand why he’s saying the FBI is actively hiding the truth about Crooks.

Tucker’s point is clear: the FBI’s story doesn’t match reality, and the silence feels less like it could be a cover-up.
If the FBI really had nothing to hide, we wouldn’t be dealing with two competing timelines, two competing narratives, and two completely different versions of who Thomas Crooks actually was. The secrecy could be the story.

That leaves us with one question Tucker nails perfectly: Why is the government, under both Biden and Trump’s own FBI leadership, so desperate to keep the truth about Thomas Crooks in the dark?
