They didn’t storm the Capitol or seize the airwaves. Instead, a pack of US bureaucrats slipped into encrypted chats, called in their global buddies, and quietly declared independence from American voters who pay their salaries. What happened inside the State Department and USAID in late 2020 was nothing short of a Deep State secession. It was a reverse Brexit carried out by career officials who decided America needed “stabilizing”… from its own people and its president.

New recordings and Signal messages reveal that before Trump even left office, insiders at the State Department and former USAID staff were coordinating a “color revolution” with foreign NGOs and Soros-backed groups to build a so-called “global anti-authoritarian movement.” It’s the same playbook our government has used for decades to topple regimes overseas; only this time, the target was here at home.

The full scope of this Deep State secession started surfacing thanks to researcher DataRepublican, who dug through recordings and Signal messages and laid out the timeline like a ghoulish map of organized betrayal. What she uncovered and shared paints a really disturbing picture of US officials acting like foreign operatives on home soil, essentially running a color revolution playbook against the American people.

“Before January 20, they moved internal groups off government systems and into encrypted Signal chats, then quickly linked with foreign partners and NGOs after the inauguration.”

“They reference coordination with Johns Hopkins, international democracy and conflict mitigation spaces, and efforts to mobilize across borders against what they perceive as domestic authoritarianism.”

“USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives isn’t a domestic civic-engagement bureau. They operate under Section 491 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to stabilize other nations in crisis — think Ukraine.”

Back in 2023, while most of the media was still focused on pointless masks and sketchy mail-in ballots, Mike Benz, the executive director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, was warning that the Transition Integrity Project (TIP) wasn’t just a bunch of bored bureaucrats. It was a dry run for a full-blown color revolution on American soil.

Benz explained how the same US foreign policy operatives who spent decades tearing down “authoritarian leaders” overseas were quietly getting ready to use those tactics at home. They were building networks, training activists, and setting the stage for “institutional resistance” if Trump won again.

President Trump was up against the wall in 2020. Between the so-called “pandemic” and the tsunami of sketchy and illegal mail-in ballots, his chances were slim to none. And if those weren’t enough, the U.S.-led color revolution that was waiting in the wings would have surely sealed his fate.

Why wouldn’t U.S. forces employ their internationally proven sabotage tactics against their own so-called “tyrannical dictator,” more accurately described as the only man capable of exposing the entire deep state apparatus?

Speaking of shadowy groups, the infamous Election Integrity Project (EIP), linked to the DHS, targeted Dr. Darren Beattie, the founder of Revolver News. They tried to censor Dr. Beattie and Revolver News for their investigative reporting on “color revolutions.” The focus of our reporting was on how experts in color revolutions, traditionally employed internationally to overthrow so-called “authoritarian leaders,” were using similar tactics domestically against Trump and his supporters. This is precisely what Mr. Benz is describing as well.

Mike Benz was one of the first to connect the dots, but the Twitter Files pulled back the curtain even further to reveal more rot. What they exposed was an organized, government-sponsored censorship apparatus.

Reporters Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger showed Congress that agencies like DHS and USAID weren’t just “coordinating” with social-media companies… they were directing them. The same bureaucrats who built “democracy-stabilizing” networks abroad were now running the domestic censorship arm of that operation here at home.

Through the Election Integrity Project (EIP) and DHS’s CISA, this network blacklisted conservatives, including Revolver and Dr. Darren Beattie, for reporting on color revolutions and government overreach.

Twitter files journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger took Congress by storm yesterday, comprehensively outlining in their testimony the intricate relationship between government organizations and private, civil society organizations in pressuring Twitter to censor right wing and conservative speech.

ndeed, the broader significance of the Twitter Files can be conveniently summed up as follows: contrary to popular belief, the censorship problem at Twitter and Big Tech more generally is not simply one of woke employees and management—rather, Big Tech has undertaken key censorship decisions at the behest of government agencies. Censorship is not a private sector problem, it is not exclusively a government problem either. Instead, an intricate revolving-door network of government agencies, private NGOs, and Trust and Safety (read: censorship) departments at Big Tech companies accounts for what we might describe as the censorship industry.

While EIP coordinated with DHS’s CISA to target and censor a long list of conservative Twitter accounts for censorship, Benz natures most important aspect of EIP’s endeavors (again, working in lockstep with the government) in his focus above on “narrative-level censorship.” The idea is not to censor specific tweets, or even specific tweeters, but to broadly suppress and censor an entire narrative or interpretation of critical events – for example, election fraud.

As it so happens, one of the most aggressive examples of EIP’s censorship was directed at Darren Beattie and Revolver News for their reporting on a concept called “color revolutions” and for spreading the (truthful but subversive) narrative that color revolution professionals within the national security establishment were deploying the same methodologies domestically to harm Trump and Trump supporters that they would deploy overseas to undermine and overthrow so-called “authoritarian leaders” overseas.

Fast forward to today, and it’s starting to look like all the pieces of this massive puzzle are finally snapping into place. Revolver has been tracking this color-revolution playbook for a while now, and thanks to DataRepublican’s dramatic new findings, we can see just how far it’s gone.

The same bureaucratic class, operating through USAID and the State Department, didn’t retire their regime-change tactics; they just refined them to use here at home. They shifted operations to encrypted Signal chats, roped in Soros-funded NGOs, and began organizing what they laughingly called a “global anti-authoritarian movement.” It’s what we’ve called a “reverse Brexit,” and here’s why: Instead of reclaiming sovereignty from unelected global forces, these shadowy DC officials were quietly handing it right back to them.

So, no, this isn’t a new scandal, but now we finally have concrete proof in black and white, and that changes everything. The Signal chats are the receipts. But as with so much else going on, it leaves us with the same question we’ve been asking for eons: what will be done about it, and will anyone actually be held accountable?
