America’s highways have become a Top Gun-style danger zone, and everyone knows why. From deadly wrong-way crashes to rigs jackknifed across interstates, we’re seeing slews of wrecks caused by unqualified foreign drivers who shouldn’t be anywhere near a semi-truck, let alone hauling thousands of pounds of cargo.

Many of these drivers can’t read road signs, can’t follow safety protocols, and in some cases, can’t even speak English.

As it stands now, thanks to these deadly drivers, the American people are in danger every time they hit the road.

Thankfully, the Trump admin is putting real procedures and policies in place to start getting these reckless foreign drivers off the road before they kill again.

Daily Signal:

Following new guidelines from Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to enforce English language proficiency for commercial truck drivers, 1,500 drivers have had their licenses placed out of service by law enforcement, The Daily Signal has learned.

“‘America First’ means safety first. Americans are a lot safer on roads alongside truckers who can understand and interpret our traffic signs,” Duffy said in May at the signing of the guidelines. “This commonsense change ensures the penalty for failure to comply is more than a slap on the wrist.”

But there’s even more work to do.

However, we’ve got some good news. A US trucker just shared some interesting news from his inside sources within the insurance industry.

The driver says that many insurance companies are waking up.

He’s been talking to people in the know, and what he’s hearing is exactly what drivers across the country have been begging for… insurance providers are done covering cargo for these reckless foreign drivers. Their chaos on the road isn’t just deadly; it’s also destroying freight, too.

Watch:

Sadly, we have a perfect, gut-wrenching example of why these unqualified drivers should never be on American highways. Just look at what happened to 18-year-old Connor Dzion. Connor was a college freshman with his whole life ahead of him, but he never made it past his first semester, thanks to reckless foreign truckers, one of whom couldn’t even legally be behind the wheel of a semi.

WNY Lawyers:

Two distracted truck drivers caused the death of Connor Dzion, an 18-year-old freshman at the University of North Florida. The two trucking companies who employed the truck drivers were ruled negligent in his wrongful death. Dzion’s parents were awarded $100 million for pain and suffering and $900 million for punitive damages.

Russel Rogatenko, the driver of an AJD Business Services Truck (“AJD”), was looking at his cell phone when he crashed and flipped his 18-wheeler on I-95. AJD did not investigate the driver’s fitness for employment or conduct a background check before allowing him to drive a semi- truck across the country. Had AJD done so, it would have found that Russel had been in several accidents and that he did not have a license to drive a commercial truck.

While sitting in traffic waiting for the Rogatenko accident to be cleared, Connor’s vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-truck owned by Kahkashan Carrier (“KC”) and driven by Yadwinder Sangha traveling at 70 miles per hour while on cruise control. The impact of the collision killed Connor. Data from the KC semi-truck showed that Yadwinder had set the cruise control to 70 miles per hour and had failed to brake until 1 second before the crash. The post-crash investigation also found that Yadwinder was on his 25th straight hour of driving, far exceeding the legal limit.

But this wasn’t just a case of “distracted driving,” no matter how the media tries to soften the blow.

One of those drivers couldn’t even read English. He was barreling down I-95 in an 18-wheeler, on his 25th straight hour of driving, cruise control set at 70, and he couldn’t even read the warning signs telling him to slow down.

It’s not “negligence”; it’s insanity. And it’s happening way too often because this industry has been flooded with unqualified foreign drivers who never should’ve been licensed in the first place. But these drivers are just a byproduct of an industry that’s been weaponized and rigged by greedy companies looking to cash in on cheap labor.
