We’re sad to report that it’s happened again. Another Indian commercial truck driver has been charged in a deadly crash that killed an innocent American. This crisis of foreign truck drivers on US roads looks like it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.

This is the American man who was killed. Mr. Wilkerson was a volunteer firefighter and an EMT. Our hearts go out to his family. This was a totally preventable death.

The driver, Mr. Sarbjeet Parmar, has been charged with negligent homicide along with five other counts. He’s not only accused of killing one man but also of injuring an entire car full of people.

The driver of a commercial vehicle involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 90 that claimed the life of a volunteer firefighter and EMT has been charged with negligent homicide.

According to documents filed in Yellowstone County District Court, Sarbjeet Parmar, 39 of Buckley, Wash., has also been charged with five counts of felony criminal endangerment.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges Monday afternoon. Judge David Carter ordered a $10,000 bond. Parmar must wear GPS monitoring and surrender his passport as conditions of bail.

Court records state Parmar was driving a commercial vehicle pulling a trailer on Dec. 22, 2024 when the vehicle went into the median at mile marker 431 at about 4 p.m., rolled onto its side and entered the oncoming lane of traffic.

The commercial vehicle then struck a Volkswagen passenger car and a Chevrolet Suburban. The driver of the Suburban, 56-year-old Kevin Wilkerson of Laurel, was killed. Three other occupants of the Suburban and two occupants of the Volkswagen were injured.

The investigation also shows that Parmar falsified his electronic logbook. The KTVQ piece goes on:

Court records state an investigation of the crash by the Montana Highway Patrol determined Parmar had falsified the Electronic Logbook Device in his vehicle. The device, which records when a commercial driver is off duty, was “manually manipulated,” prosecutors allege, and the investigators determined Parmar “did not take the required 10 hours of Off Duty or Sleeper Berth as required” during the trip.

Parmar initially told investigators that wind had caused the accident. The investigation determined there was no evidence to support that wind caused the crash, and instead the crash was “consistent with that of a drowsy driver.”

It’s clear there’s a serious problem. But why are so many Indian drivers wreaking deadly havoc on US roads? The reasons are layered, but one big factor is how they drive in India. It’s chaotic and reckless, and there’s zero regard for traffic laws. If that’s the norm there, why would anyone expect them to suddenly transform into safe, rule-following drivers once they get behind the wheel here?

In India, a traffic-related death occurs every three minutes.

This is already a crisis in India, and if we’re not careful, it’s going to be one here too.

Every morning, India’s newspapers are filled with reports of road accidents – passenger buses plunging into mountain gorges, drunk drivers mowing down pedestrians, cars crashing into stationary trucks and two-wheelers being knocked down by larger vehicles.

These daily tragedies underscore a silent crisis: in 2023 alone, more than 172,000 people lost their lives on Indian roads, averaging 474 deaths each day or nearly one every three minutes.

Although the official crash report for 2023 has yet to be released, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari cited the data to paint a grim picture at a road safety event in December.

Among the dead that year were 10,000 children. Accidents near schools and colleges accounted for another 10,000 fatalities, while 35,000 pedestrians lost their lives. Two-wheeler riders also bore the brunt of fatalities. Over-speeding typically emerged as the single biggest cause.

A lack of basic safety precautions also proved deadly: 54,000 people died due to not wearing helmets and 16,000 from not wearing seatbelts.

Other major causes included overloading, which led to 12,000 deaths, and driving without a valid licence, which factored in 34,000 crashes. Driving on the wrong side also contributed to fatalities.

In 2021, 13% of accidents involved drivers with a learner permit or no valid licence. Many vehicles on the road are old and missing basic safety features like seatbelts – let alone airbags.

This hazardous road environment is further complicated by India’s chaotic traffic mix.

Another reason so many dangerous Indian drivers are flooding our roads is the Biden regime’s obsession with making sure unqualified foreigners get licenses. We exposed this after the deadly crash on the Florida Turnpike that snuffed out three innocent American lives.

The Punjabi trucking lobby has built its own little political empire. The North American Punjabi Trucking Association (NAPTA) is a “non-profit” and has deep ties to the Swamp and had direct access to the Biden White House and involvement in programs funded with US taxpayer money. They had federal grants and apprenticeship funds. Biden’s own trucking initiatives have created an environment where groups like NAPTA benefit, even as safety falls apart on America’s roads.

Biden’s goal to flood the trucking industry with unqualified, foreign-speaking drivers was so disturbing that alarm bells were going off. But that didn’t matter; the Biden regime barreled ahead, pushing policies that prioritized speed and quotas over safety. Biden’s DEI/pro-foreign-worker policies were so bad that even Raman Dhillon, CEO of the Punjabi trucking association, had to admit it.

Something has to be done, and quick. Thankfully, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy and President Trump are leading the charge.

Duffy makes it clear that this isn’t just some isolated “accident”; it’s a full-blown crisis. States are bending rules, ignoring laws, and handing out CDLs like Halloween candy, while foreigners, many of whom have no business driving any car, let alone an 18-wheeler, are unleashed onto our roads. Duffy also made it perfectly clear: if the rules had been followed, innocent lives would not have been lost.

This cannot happen again.

.@FMCSA is launching an investigation into both the driver and White Hawk Carrier.

Here’s what we know:

1. Washington State improperly issued the driver a full-term CDL. Asylum seekers or illegal aliens are NOT allowed to receive this!

2. New Mexico failed to conduct an English Language Proficiency test when they pulled the driver over for speeding. Had they done this, the driver would not have been on the road!

3. We are also looking into California’s issuance of the driver’s CDL.

States MUST FOLLOW THE RULES. If they had, this driver would NEVER have been behind the wheel and three precious lives would still be with us.

The failures here are despicable. Non-enforcement and radical immigration policies have turned the trucking industry into a lawless frontier, resulting in unqualified foreign drivers improperly acquiring licenses to operate 40-ton vehicles.

@POTUS and I moved quickly to require drivers to speak English – our national language – and launch a full-scale audit of how these licenses are doled out.

We need to take back control of our roads. And that means more than just sending ICE to weigh stations. States that hand out CDLs to unqualified foreigners must be penalized, and the scam “truck driving schools” that rig the system need to be gutted as well. They’re pumping out unsafe drivers who put every American at risk. Sean is right… this is only the tip of the iceberg.
