Dems have picked a truly bizarre hill to die on: fighting President Trump’s plan to make the streets of DC safe again. Once again, the left has backed themselves into the same ridiculous corner: defending criminals while taking zero responsibility for the soaring crime in their cities.

The Media continues to try to say that crime is down, when DC is the leader in crime.

The District of Columbia has the highest crime rate in the United States, with a 999.8 crime rate per 100,000 people. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, homicides increased by 14% compared to 2021, robbery by 24%, burglary by 8% and 4% in motor vehicle theft.

Average Americans can’t live safe, comfortable lives because crime, drugs, and filth plague these left-wing cities. Meanwhile, elitist Dems, who are tucked away in their gilded neighborhoods far, far away from danger, hop on social media to declare the streets are “safe” and call Trump “literally Hitler” for daring to crack down on crime. It’s a dangerous, politically absurd argument that only makes sense to people who are so blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome that they’ve literally lost their grip on reality.

Of course, the left is claiming DC crime is at a 30-year low. The problem with that claim is that the police chief was caught lying about the numbers and subsequently fired.

And while these out-of-touch liberals spin fairytales about how great things are, real Americans living in DC are relieved that someone is finally doing something about the chaos. But instead of standing with law-abiding Americans, the left is once again fighting tooth and nail for their favorite folks: criminals.

Here are a couple examples…

Meet Peter Baker. He claims there’s no “crime crisis” in the Nation’s Capitol. But you can’t blame him, since the most serious “crime” in his neighborhood is a barista misspelling his name on a soy latte.

Peter believes the single worse “crime day” in DC was January 6th.

It’s hard to take people like Peter seriously.

And speaking of unserious buffoons, an MSNBC contributor is stunned that D.C. officials aren’t “fighting” President Trump’s so-called “hostile takeover” of the city. Someone should probably show Ken the latest DC crime stats.

Here’s those murder stats for Ken. DC is more dangerous than Bogota, Columbia:

If Ken had to actually live in the crime-riddled parts of DC, he probably wouldn’t last one day. But Ken doesn’t care what the “peasants” have to deal with. His job is to sell the ridiculous spin that DC is as safe as Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland.

Most of the liberal elites who say DC is “safe” are making these claims from the safety of Arlington, Virginia.

And just to put it in perspective, the average home price in Arlington is $875,000.

Now, if you talk to the people who really live in the city, you’ll hear a totally different story. They’re relieved and thankful that President Trump is sending in the cavalry to help them because they know the city is a dangerous disaster.

 

Sadly, it makes perfect sense that Dems are defending criminals… after all, this is the same party that demonized police and campaigned to defund them. Dems thrive on lawlessness. The more chaos and danger, the better. So when a leader finally steps in to help average Americans, they don’t celebrate it. They go to war for the bad guys.
