Nancy Pelosi is probably kicking herself over her most recent X post, because it opened a can of worms she never wanted spilled. But TDS got in the way, and she couldn’t help herself. In a desperate effort to smear President Trump’s plan to clean up DC’s deadly streets, Pelosi took to X and claimed that Trump “delayed” deploying the National Guard on January 6… a claim that instantly blew back on her, in a big way, dredging up an old debate about her role that day.

But even worse for Pelosi was the blistering response from former Capitol Police Chief Sund, which confirmed what most of us already knew – that Pelosi’s actions and decisions shaped what happened on January 6.

Here’s what she said in her X post.

Nancy Pelosi:

Donald Trump delayed deploying the National Guard on January 6th when our Capitol was under violent attack and lives were at stake. Now, he’s activating the DC Guard to distract from his incompetent mishandling of tariffs, health care, education and immigration — just to name a few blunders.

Of course, Pelosi is talking about President Trump’s big, beautiful plan to take back our nation’s capital from the inept liberal leaders who’ve let criminals run the show. Trump has deployed FBI agents and the National Guard to clean up the streets. This move comes as crime in DC is soaring. It’s so bad that police have been handing out AirTags to residents so they can track their cars when they inevitably get stolen.

Sane Americans are applauding President Trump’s move to clean up crime, but the political party that pushed “Defund the Police” is hell-bent on keeping the crime wave going.

However, Pelosi went too far trying to defend criminals when she dragged January 6 into the mix. Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund saw her post and responded in a way she likely never expected. He set the record straight about the J6/National Guard debate, calling out Pelosi for denying every request for the National Guard, even on the day of the event.

Steven Sund:

Ma’am, it is long past time to be honest with the American people. On January 3, I requested National Guard assistance, but your Sergeant at Arms denied it. Under federal law (2 U.S.C. §1970), I was prohibited from calling them in without specific approval. That same day, Carol Corbin at the Pentagon offered National Guard support, but I was forced to decline because I lacked the legal authority.

On January 6, while the Capitol was under attack and despite my repeated calls, your Sergeant at Arms again denied my urgent requests for over 70 agonizing minutes, “running it up the chain” for your approval.

When I needed assistance, it was denied. Yet when it suited you, you ordered fencing topped with concertina wire and surrounded the Capitol with thousands of armed National Guard troops.

That blistering post from Chief Sund leaves little doubt. Many believe Pelosi didn’t want the National Guard on January 6, arguing that she and her allies allowed the “fedsurrection” enough time to unfold and create the drama and storyline they, and the media, could use against President Trump and his movement. After all, if the National Guard had stepped in and ended it quickly, Dems wouldn’t have gotten what they needed: their so-called “insurrection.”

There appeared to be a concerted effort by Dems to make sure there was no National Guard presence that day. Here’s the letter Mayor Bowser wrote on January 5, rejecting President Trump’s offer to have the Guard at the January 6 rally to keep the peace.

As you can imagine, many people had a lot to say to Nancy about her recent post.

Roger Stone:

This could be this drunken sots biggest LIE yet. Donald Trump did not delay deploying the National Guard on January 6 as has been thoroughly documented Pelosi and DC Mayor Bowser declined the deployment of the National Guard on January 6 The grand jury already reviewing evidence of the Russian Collusion Hoax in Florida must charge her and a 6 AM raid on her residence with 29 heavily armed FBI agents is in order.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene made another good point:

Not only did Nancy Pelosi refuse President Trump’s and Chief Steven Sund’s request, days before Jan 6, 2021, to bring in the National Guard to the Capital, AFTER Jan 6th Nancy Pelosi brought in 30,000 National Guard troops and made them sleep on the floor in the parking garages for 5 months.

Yes, it’s important to get to the bottom of the Russia Hoax, but we can’t take our eyes off the January 6 ball. There are still plenty of people who need to face justice for what they did to the American people that day, trying to entrap them and paint MAGA as so-called “domestic terrorists.” And one of the most deserving of that justice is Nancy Pelosi. She’s not getting any younger, so here’s hoping she faces the music sooner rather than later.
