Looks like President Trump is officially shifting the war on drugs into high gear—military gear, to be exact. According to a new report, the US military is getting called up to the front lines in the war on drugs. After years of watching cartels flood America with fentanyl, violence, illegals, and chaos, Trump isn’t just talking tough. He’s reportedly taking the fight directly to the source.

As you know, President Trump has been designating certain cartels as terror organizations, which, for many Americans, has been a long time coming.

President Trump has secretly signed a directive to the Pentagon to begin using military force against certain Latin American drug cartels that his administration has deemed terrorist organizations, according to people familiar with the matter.

The decision to bring the American military into the fight is the most aggressive step so far in the administration’s escalating campaign against the cartels. It signals Mr. Trump’s continued willingness to use military forces to carry out what has primarily been considered a law enforcement responsibility to curb the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs.

The order provides an official basis for the possibility of direct military operations at sea and on foreign soil against cartels.

U.S. military officials have started drawing up options for how the military could go after the groups, the people familiar with the conversations said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive internal deliberations.

We’re not talking about a few bombs. This order allows hits from air, sea, and land.

They’re not just killing Americans though, they’re wiping out communities and shattering generations of families that could have thrived if not for the hellish nightmare of addiction. Fentanyl is the real pandemic destroying America. Overdose is now the leading cause of death for people under 45, and two-thirds of those deaths are tied to fentanyl.

And just in 2025 alone, the Trump administration has seized almost 22 million fentanyl pills.

Let’s hope that after Trump finishes dismantling the cartels, he sets his sights on ending China’s drug terrorism as well, because by all accounts, this is war.
