Well, folks, the two billionaire powerhouses are coming together. Elon Musk is set to attend his very first Trump rally, and he just announced it’ll be in Butler, Pennsylvania—the very spot where a left-wing madman tried, and nearly succeeded, in assassinating President Trump.

Elon is all-in for the 2024 race, backing President Trump to the hilt with his wallet, his social media platform, and his actions.

This is not only a powerful show of support for President Trump’s bravery and safety, but it also highlights Elon’s deep commitment to helping him get back where he belongs—the White House. The liberal media is begrudgingly covering this story, knowing full well it’s a huge win for Trump to have Elon Musk’s support—especially in Butler, the very place where that horrific first assassination attempt took place.

Elon Musk will attend former President Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, the billionaire announced in a post on X late Thursday.

Why it matters: Trump’s return to the scene of the first assassination attempt against his life had already raised concerns among local officials, per Axios Philadelphia’s Isaac Avilucea.

  • The Trump campaign also confirmed Musk Friday that Musk will attend, along with a number of political and law enforcement officials and the family of Corey Comperatore, who was killed during the July assassination attempt against Trump.
  • The U.S. Secret Service bolstered Trump’s security in the wake of the shooting that killed Comperatore, wounded two other rally-goers and saw a bullet strike the Republican presidential nominee’s right ear.

What they’re saying: Butler County Commissioners Chair Leslie Osche told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 officials were “confident” about security at Saturday’s event.

State of play: USSS spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said the agency had “made comprehensive changes and enhancements to our communications capabilities, resourcing, and protective operations” since the assassination attempt, per WTAE-TV.

  • Guglielmi said the USSS was working closely with Pennsylvania State Police and local law enforcement in and around the city ahead of Trump’s return to the Butler Farm Show site.
  • “We are also leveraging other federal security resources to expand personnel and technology,” he added.
  • Additional security precautions since the first assassination attempt include Trump appearing behind bulletproof glass while onstage during outdoor rallies.

This is huge, and we hope that Elon will not only be attending and showing his support for President Trump, but will also speak at the rally and share his plan to cut the tremendous fat that is engulfing our bloated, corrupt government.

Billionaire Elon Musk will head a government efficiency commission with a vast remit if Donald Trump is elected U.S. president, potentially putting him in position to change the rules for corporate America, including the wide swath of industries in which his companies compete.

Trump on Thursday announced the plan, including Musk’s role, and said he wanted to see recommendations for “drastic reforms,” starting with hunting down fraud and improper payments, that would target “the entire federal government.”

The commission would put Musk, who leads rocket company SpaceX, electric carmaker Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab, technology companies X and xAI and several others, a chance to plan the slimmer government Republicans often advocate, but could see him making rules that directly affect his own work and wealth.

God knows our bloated government needs serious trimming. At this point, with how bad things have gotten, many Americans are ready to scrap the whole system and start over—and who can blame them? But the next best thing is having Elon Musk step in, cutting the fat, and transforming our government into a lean, mean, America First machine.
