They used to be the “Cadillac” of lunch meats, but now Boar’s Head is facing a filthy and deadly health crisis that’s led to a nationwide recall of their products and the deaths of 9 people. The violations at their Virginia headquarters include mold, bugs, mildew, and, most alarmingly, deadly listeria.
At least nine people have died after being infected with listeria from Boar’s Head deli meats tied to a massive recall last month, federal health officials said Wednesday.
The new food poisoning toll includes two deaths in South Carolina plus one each in Florida, New Mexico, Tennessee and New York, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. Three deaths were previously confirmed in people who lived in Illinois, New Jersey and Virginia.
At least 57 people have been sickened and hospitalized in the outbreak. Illnesses were reported starting in late May and have continued into August, the agency said. It is the largest listeria outbreak in the U.S. since 2011, and Boar’s Head has recalled more than 7 million pounds of deli products.
Listeria infections are caused by a hardy type of bacteria that can survive and even thrive during refrigeration. An estimated 1,600 people get listeria food poisoning each year and about 260 die, according to the CDC. Infections can be hard to pinpoint because symptoms may occur quickly — or up to 10 weeks after eating contaminated food.
This disturbing news comes right on the heels of Boar’s Head’s DEI “refugee” program, where they hire, train, and “mentor” migrants. Is there a connection? Maybe—after all, the timing is suspicious. How does a company go from being the top dog to the bottom of the barrel so quickly? Well, you start implementing DEI practices, and in no time flat, your company begins to collapse. Just ask Boeing, Bud Light, and Harley Davidson. In other words, get woke, go broke.
Boar’s Head proudly displayed their DEI initiatives on their website, where they bragged about their programs focusing on “refugees.”

This is what happens when you turn your company into a charity organization for underperformers, and sadly, the American people are the ones who suffer and sadly die.
Here’s a closeup of the images:
Here’s a press release from the Tent Coalition dating back to 2021:
New York, September 21 2021 – As the U.S. welcomes tens of thousands of refugees fleeing Afghanistan, 33 major companies — including Amazon, Facebook, Pfizer, and Tyson Foods — today announced that they will join the Tent Coalition for Afghan Refugees, pledging to help create economic opportunities for Afghans as they start their new lives in America.
The new coalition is spearheaded by the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a network of over 180 global businesses integrating refugees. As part of this new commitment, some of America’s biggest employers will create job opportunities, provide training and other resources to help Afghans better integrate into the American economy — a fundamental component for Afghans’ successful resettlement in the U.S.
“America is at a critical juncture, and every part of our society must play its part to welcome our Afghan brothers and sisters. They have stood by our side, and we must stand by theirs,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, Founder and CEO of Chobani and Founder of the Tent Partnership for Refugees. “I am so proud of the businesses stepping up today — and hope that many more will join our coalition. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again — the moment a refugee gets a job, it’s the moment they stop being a refugee. It’s the moment they can stand on their own two feet; it’s the moment they can make new friends; it’s the moment they can start a new life.”
The 33 companies span sectors from tech to retail, and from food service to consulting — showing the broad swath of support for Afghan refugees among the business community, and the diversity of job opportunities that will be offered. They include: Accenture, the Adecco Group, Amazon, APCO, Bain & Company, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Chobani, Coursera, Deloitte, Facebook, Gap Inc., General Assembly, Henry Schein, Inc., Hilton, HP, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Ipsos, Jacobs, Kleen-Tech, Mastercard, Panda Express, Pfizer, Rejuvenation – a Williams-Sonoma, Inc. brand, ServiceNow, Sitel Group®, Sodexo, Tripadvisor, Tyson Foods, Uber, UPS, US Xpress, Wayfair, and Western Union.
Note the quote from our favorite, Albert Bourla of Pfizer:
Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer, said: “At Pfizer, we recognize the critical needs of people all around the world, and we firmly believe that every individual should be heard, seen, and cared for. This is why we are proud to join the Tent Coalition for Afghan Refugees, and will be undertaking a number of projects in support of Afghan refugees and Special Immigrants – from hiring them into our workforce, to mentoring Afghan refugees and preparing them for their new workplaces.”
Sadly, we’ve seen this same scenario play out time and time again: companies collapse when they place diversity hires over excellence, safety, and high quality. Boeing is an unfortunate example of this kind of low-expectation business model that so many companies in the US are now adopting.
We’ve covered the DEI dilemma from every imaginable angle, and recently, we took a well-deserved victory lap after Boeing was forced to shake things up when their DEI agenda was exposed to the world, thanks to conservative reporting like ours.
Boeing, once the titan of aerospace manufacturing and the world’s fourth-largest defense contractor, is now cratering before our very eyes. They’ve fully embraced the globalist progressive agenda, making Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) the foundation of their operations, a strategy that’s undoubtedly contributing to the company’s internal collapse. Boreing is following in the footsteps of other players in the airline industry and has prioritized DEI over safety, siding with the Biden regime’s twisted belief that “charity” somehow outweighs genuine skill and expertise. Tragically, this failed approach is obvious from a laundry list of alarming and dangerous failures, placing the disgraced company into a spotlight it never wanted.
Nobody’s been shining a spotlight on Boeing and the airline industry’s risky dive into DEI standards quite like Revolver has. And today, with a major shakeup unfolding at the top of Boeing, we at Revolver are hitting the track for a massive victory lap. We’ve been on the front lines of this story, relentlessly critiquing the industry for trading safety for “woke points,” and it looks like our persistence is paying off.
Revolver has been on the front lines of this unsettling issue, targeting everything from individual airlines, personnel, and CEOs to Boeing itself. Our comprehensive approach has helped shed a glaring light on these troubling and dangerous industry shifts we’ve seen.
We encourage you to read the entire piece below:
Revolver takes a victory lap after massive shakeup at disgraced Boeing…
What’s truly frightening is how these decisions to prioritize charity over excellence can literally destroy people’s lives, and for what? To score some cheap progressive brownie points? Americans must demand better. It’s not about how someone looks or what “gender” they identify as; what matters is whether they’re skilled enough to handle the job. If they’re not, they shouldn’t be hired. This isn’t rocket science, folks. This is the progressive agenda undermining American excellence at every level.
