The left’s obsession with Justice Clarence Thomas is escalating to a level similar to that of Trump. It wouldn’t be surprising if we soon hear talk of CDS: “Clarence Derangement Syndrome.” They’re constantly seeking ways to target him, with the latest effort being an attempt to force his recusal from President Trump’s Supreme Court case, which challenges the regime’s bogus charges. The left argues that Justice Thomas can’t be impartial if his wife supports Trump. Rep. Hank Johnson is spearheading the movement for Justice Thomas to step back from the Jack Smith case. However, this push is both absurd and highly partisan. There’s no legitimate reason for Thomas to recuse himself simply due to his wife’s political views. What the left is attempting here is a strategic manipulation of the High Court, aiming to ensure only their “preferred” justices preside over certain cases.

Mike Davis, the former clerk for Justice Gorsuch, really dampened the left’s hopes when he highlighted a particularly ironic aspect of this charade: Jack Smith’s wife is vehemently anti-Trump. So, following the left’s logic, shouldn’t Smith recuse himself? Hmmm.

Here’s what Mike said:

If Justice Clarence Thomas must recuse because of his wife’s pro-Trump personal political views, does that mean Jack Smith must step down as special counsel because of his wife’s anti-Trump personal political views? These are completely baseless attacks on Justice Thomas.

We’re not sure if this is the Pandora’s Box that Rep. Johnson wants to open. After all, if he succeeds in forcing Justice Thomas to step down, the same logic would apply to Jack Smith, meaning he’d have to withdraw as well. The Dems would then face the challenge of finding someone with the same die-hard, partisan hackery as Smith on short notice.
