Trust us, this quote from Biden’s “60 Minutes” interview will come back to haunt the United States. Biden was asked, “Are the wars in Israel and Ukraine more than the U.S. can take on at the same time?”

His arrogant response was this: “We are the USA, for god’s sake. The most powerful nation in the history of the world. We can take care of both of these and still maintain our overall international defense.”

This senile elder sounds confident, right? But let’s not forget that being the “most powerful nation in the history of the world” isn’t a free pass to solve every global conflict simultaneously. Power has limits, and spreading ourselves too thin is a disservice to our own strategic interests and global standing. Truthfully, this is precisely how Rome thought right before they fell. Sure, there’s more than one reason Rome fell; it was a complex and long process, but one of the biggest reasons was their arrogance and spreading themselves too thin in battle.

History:

The most straightforward theory for Western Rome’s collapse pins the fall on a string of military losses sustained against outside forces. Rome had tangled with Germanic tribes for centuries, but by the 300s “barbarian” groups like the Goths had encroached beyond the Empire’s borders. The Romans weathered a Germanic uprising in the late fourth century, but in 410 the Visigoth King Alaric successfully sacked the city of Rome.

The Empire spent the next several decades under constant threat before “the Eternal City” was raided again in 455, this time by the Vandals. Finally, in 476, the Germanic leader Odoacer staged a revolt and deposed Emperor Romulus Augustulus. From then on, no Roman emperor would ever again rule from a post in Italy, leading many to cite 476 as the year the Western Empire suffered its death blow.

The United States is financially drained and in debt to countries left and right. Our military has been depleted, thanks to Biden supplying weapons to Ukraine and giving them away to Taliban terrorists. And now, to make matters worse, he’s eager to risk American lives once more in the Middle East, spilling blood for someone else’s borders, all under the guise of American bravado. This intellectually compromised buffoon is steering our country right off a cliff, “Ancient Rome” style.

This reminds us of a scripture from Proverbs 16:18:

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Joe Biden seems to be shaping up as America’s very own modern-day emperor. Maybe we should start referring to him as “Hilarious Buffonus.” After all, the name fits given his regime’s failed approach to governance and so-called “leadership.”
