The left has a creepy fascination with breaking new ground. This includes the first openly gay secretary of transportation, the first transvestite army officer arrested for selling military secrets to the Russians. The first cross-dressing man serving as assistant health secretary, and who can forget Sam Brinton, a former Department of Energy guy known for dressing like a lady, and stealing other people’s luggage. In Biden’s America, actual job qualifications don’t matter, as long as you can be called a “first.” It’s an obsession with these people, and it’s also wreaking havoc on the country.

The Whiskey Cowboy:

The obsession with being “historical” or “the first” is a common theme with Democrats. They are so focused on that, that it often overrides better choices or more qualified candidates. This goes hand in hand with their fixation with race, gender and sexual orientation. These things become selling points for people but have absolutely nothing to do with the JOB they are seeking to hold. Nor are they what myself, and I truly believe the center/right, even CARE about.

And this is all in an age where the vast majority in the working and political pool have grown up in a time where it was pushed that anyone can do and become anything they want if they want it badly enough, and work hard enough. We see minorities, women, and gay people in virtually every aspect of life, and every job or political position. And we have for quite a long time.

This does not matter to the left though. There will always be a way to distinguish THEM as being special, historical, or the first in SOMETHING; all the while claiming that NONE of these things should matter. And also while proclaiming how everyone is “the same”.

The truth is that the left does not believe their own rhetoric. They proclaim grand things but then act in complete opposition to that. If they truly believed everyone is the same, they would not at every moment also do the best they can to show how DIFFERENT they, or others, are, If everyone is capable of greatness, or able to do this or that job, then why must they then make such big deals when it happens? For the rest of us, it is simply another moment or achievement and gets a pat on the back at most, but normally a shrug. We think “well, yeah, that makes sense”.

I know for me personally (and those around me), none of this matters. Of COURSE anyone can achieve greatness and do the jobs they seek, if they want it bad enough, work hard enough, and are actually QUALIFIED for it. Oh, did you see that? The person must have the skills and other qualifications, as well as desire and drive.

This is not so important to the left. They would rather have an Historic or “first”, than a QUALIFIED. It is a dangerous metric to us, in my view. And again, it goes against all they profess to value.

Speaking of “firsts,” the other day another “trailblazer” in the Democrats’ lineup hit their first marker. This time it was the first elected Transvestite state representative who was arrested on child pornography charges. Another left-wing hero bites the dust.

It’s worth pointing out that Mayor Pete might be among the least effective hires in the history of our nation. Let’s not forget that he was off the radar for several months “chest feeding” before anyone realized he was gone.
