Irony is all about unexpected twists and turns, and we’ve got quite a story that fits the bill involving California wildfires, climate change, and a Democrat donor who really heated things up. The left wants you to believe that every little thing that happens on Earth is somehow linked to climate change. If you’re stuck in traffic, they’ll blame it on climate change. Even if your kid spills milk, they’ll say it’s because of climate change. They use climate change as a catch-all excuse for everything. It’s a way for them to keep talking about climate change and also to convince people that it’s affecting every aspect of their life. That way you will happily surrender more of your freedoms in order to “save the planet.”
That’s why every single “wild fire” season we hear the left touting the same climate change fear mongering — claiming that global warming is causing massive, hellfires to sporadically pop out of nowhere when in most cases, it’s lightning strikes or arson that starts these fires. Case in point, last year’s horrific Oak fire was blamed on “climate change” by officials, leaders, and the media.
So, it seems like those “experts” got it wrong once again. It wasn’t really “climate change” that caused the fire, but rather a 71-year-old Democrat.
CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers arrested 71-year-old Edward Fredrick Wackerman in connection to the destructive Oak Fire last July.
Investigators identified Wackerman as the suspect responsible for starting the fire that burned over 19,000 acres and 127 residential structures and 66 outbuildings in the Midpines area in Mariposa County.
He was arrested on Friday in Mariposa County on multiple felony charges including suspicion of aggravated arson, arson that causes great bodily injury, and arson causing damage or destruction of inhabited structures.
And it turns out that not only is Mr. Wackerman a Democrat, but he’s a donor, to boot.
By the numbers: The arson suspect has donated $1,775 to Democratic candidates and committees since 2020, government records show, including a $1,000 donation to Tim Ryan’s failed U.S. Senate campaign in 2022 and $400 to the Lincoln Project, a disgraced liberal super PAC.
• The so-called Oak Fire destroyed 127 homes and 66 outbuildings. Roughly 6,000 people were forced to evacuate as the inferno torched 30 square miles of land and smoke from the fire drifted more than 200 miles into parts of Nevada and the San Francisco Bay Area.
As we all know, the majority of wildfires are deliberately set by people, particularly those with left-leaning ideologies who either have personal vendettas or want to push the climate change hoax. So, unless “climate change” is a 71-year-old liberal man, it’s clear that the real cause of the destructive fire is something far more dangerous: liberalism.
