Will Fox News be forced to eat a gigantic helping of Carlson crow? That’s what Megyn Kelly and Buck Sexton are wondering. They believe that Fox News must do something to rectify the huge mess they created when they yanked Tucker off the air. Although Tucker has not been officially fired, his access to his shows and work email has been cut off, essentially sidelining him.
Megyn and Buck believe that the only way Fox News can undo their mistake is by bringing Tucker back. Buck put it best when he said that for the first time he believes Fox is in an “existential crisis” when it comes to viewers and Megyn agrees. Fox is currently hemorrhaging viewers during the 8:00 pm time slot and beyond; as Tucker supplied a huge lead-in for Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham, and that’s now gone.
Megyn says the audience is giving Fox the “double-barrel middle finger,” saying, “You can eff right off Fox News, we don’t care who you put there. Where’s Tucker?”
Well, Tucker is reportedly plotting his next move, while Fox News is placing Lawrence Jones as the new “temporary replacement” for Tucker.
Wow, they sound confident, eh?
The temporary replacement for Tucker Carlson’s Fox News weekday slot has been announced as rising star Lawrence Jones.
The 30-year-old presenter is set to take over from the controversial host on Monday as the Tucker Carlson Show is rebranded as Fox News Tonight.
Lawrence’s appointment comes after Brian Kilmeade’s weeklong stint in the hot seat.
The role sees Lawrence vacate his weekend primetime show “Lawrence Jones Cross Country”, which he first took up in January 2022.
At the time, he became the youngest black solo host of a cable news show in history. As well as his own weekend slot, Lawrence has regularly been a roving reporter Fox & Friends and travelled the width of the country covering some of the biggest news stories.
Lawrence admitted he appreciates the opportunity to take on the show but revealed he “is no TC”.
Most people have no clue who this guy is and they don’t care. Poor Lawrence is being thrown to the wolves and he doesn’t even realize it. Buck went on to say, “I don’t know how they can turn this around, I think they have to bring Tucker back, quite honestly. I don’t know what they think is gonna happen here.”
Megyn and Buck are spot on. Fox News needs to bring back Tucker if they want to fix this mess. But let’s be real, that’s probably not gonna happen, and there’s probably more to this story that we don’t know yet. The truth is, Tucker doesn’t need Fox to do well, but the network might struggle without him. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out.
