Politcal correctness is a leftist term that most Americans became familiar with in the 90s. This tyrannical  form of “culture control” was cleverly disguised as a way to be socially hip in the new modern world. After all, if you weren’t politically correct, you’d be labeled an old fashioned fuddy-duddy – the kiss of death for any progressive-minded American.

However, when political correctness showed up in the 90s, most didn’t realize it was a wolf in sheep’s clothing and would eventually evolve and morph into the full-blown communism we’reing deal with today.

And communism truly is at the very heart of political correctness. The term has actually been around for a very long time.

The phrase “political correctness” was first coined back in the 1930s and was used to describe dogmatic adherence to ideology in authoritarian regimes, such as Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia.

So, if you followed the ideology and rules of Soviet Russia or Hitlers’s Germany you were considered a politically correct person.

It’s all making sense now…

Keeping that in mind, it was a rather natural transition for modern-day leftists to adopt Marxist PC culture and make it the cornerstone of their entire movement.

Carico:

America today is dominated by a system of beliefs, attitudes and values that we have come to know as “Political Correctness.” For many it is an annoyance and a self parodying joke. But Political Correctness is deadly serious in its aims, seeking to impose a uniformity of thought and behavior on all Americans. It is therefore totalitarian in nature. Its roots lie in a version of Marxism which sees culture, rather than the economy, as the site of class struggle.

Without cultural Marxism there wouldn’t be a radical LGBTQ or BLM movement that has essentially taken over the entire US. So, you can begin to understand how important and powerful the early PC movement truly was.

Critical Theory was essentially destructive criticism of the main elements of Western culture, including Christianity, capitalism, authority, the family, patriarchy, hierarchy, morality, tradition, sexual restraint, loyalty, patriotism, nationalism, heredity, ethnocentrism, convention and conservatism.

Critical Theorists recognized that traditional beliefs and the existing social structure would have to be destroyed and then replaced with a “new thinking” that would become as much a part of elementary consciousness as the old one had been. Their theories took hold in the tumultuous 1960s, when the Vietnam War opened a Pandora’s Box of reevaluaton and revolution. The student radicals of the era were strongly influenced by revolutionary ideas, among them those of Herbert Marcuse, a member of the Frankfurt School who preach the “Great Refusal,” a rejection of all basic Western concepts and an embrace of sexual liberation, and the merits of feminist and black revolutions. His primary thesis was that university students, ghetto blacks, the alienated, the asocial, and the Third World could take the place of the proletariat in the coming Communist revolution.

If you look back at 90s TV sitcoms, commercials, and PSA’s you can see how far we’ve fallen as a free-thinking and free-speech society.

Most of the stuff aired on TV decades ago wouldn’t be allowed these days – and not because it wasn’t accurate, amusing, or reflective of how the majority of people felt – because it was. These days things are banned when they no longer reflect regime-approved thoughts and speech.

This Barbara Walters interview with Kirstie Alley is a perfect example of something that would never fly today.

I was raised on #Cheers and was SHOCKED by #kirstiealley in later years, The fact that NO ONE in her family was shocked speaks volumes, RIP, though I guess ??‍♀️ #racism #DEI#80s#80sTV#90stv#barbarawalters#BGM#blackgirlfollowtrain#barbarawalters

Do you think McDonald’s could get away with a “black” commercial like this in 2023?

Oh hell no…

Back in the 90s it was perfectly acceptable to portray a black person as a drug dealer.

You could never do that today. Every TV burglar, drug dealer, and bad guy is some random white dude.

And speaking of drugs, these anti-drug PSA’s would never fly today. Instead, these days the government passes out free needles and encourages addicts to sleep (and poop) on the sidewalks.

In 1997, this was your brain on heroin.

In the 2000s, heroin became “chic” and what runway models looked like.

Back in the 90s, they used Muppets to teach kids how to recognize if a loved one was overdosing on drugs.

Today, we ignore the fact that illegal drugs are pouring over our open borders and killing countless Americans every single day.

But what about obesity?

Well, what they call “fat shaming” today was actually comedic or dramatic fodder for TV sitcoms decades ago.

Who can forget the “Friends” flashback to when Monica was fat.

Ironically, by today’s gluttonous standards, “fat Monica” looks pretty darn healthy.

@embodyconfidencecoaching

Many of you suggested I cover “Friends” to showcase how damaging anti-fat bias was in some television series back in the 90s (not to say it still isn’t today – it’s just become more subtle). ? Each time I look back at shows from my childhood, it scares me to know that I didn’t bat a single eyelash at these kind of comments. And I knew it was expected to laugh along with the punchline. So I did. I think most of us did. ? I want you to know I’m not placing blame on one show, on one story line or on one fat joke. This was culturally acceptable to be aired for us to consume on a regular basis. And it played a huge role in falsely conditioning us to believe that being in a larger body is bad. ??‍♀️ It taught girls like me who grew into a body like Fat Monica’s that we couldn’t be loved and that our body type was wrong. It taught us to hide fun foods like KitKats and make sure no one ever saw us eat donuts. ? And I can’t think of a single reason why those would be helpful messages to send anyone. ? The Golden Girls mixed both comedy and drama to address “fat people” back in the day.

You could chuckle at a fatty and feel sorry for them all within a 30 minute span.

Today however, everybody’s fat, so nobody’s laughing anymore.

Furthermore, calling out cross-dressers as a fetish and poking fun at creepy transvestite men was perfectly okay.

And we saved the best for last. This is a 90s MTV PSA pushing diversity – and we hope you’re sitting down, because you won’t believe your eyes and ears.

This could be one of the wildest ads ever aired.

We Gotta Celebrate Our Differences – Wonder Showzen on MTV2 ?

♬ Celebrate Our Differences – Bryson J

Imagine that public service announcement being aired today? MTV would be burned to the ground by foam-at-the-mouth leftists.

But it’s an interesting concept that MTV introduced – stating that we’re all different and that’s perfectly okay. That’s a far cry from the one “humanoid” society globalists are hell-bent on creating.

Perhaps the 90s were actually the “good ol’ days” after all.

And while nobody is suggesting that in 2023 it’s smart “marketing” to portray Chinese people saying “ching chong,” or Mexican people singing about chimichangas, and half-naked African people dancing around  with bones through their noses, decisions like this shouldn’t be made out of fear of cancel culture or government crackdowns. They should be made from a place of common sense and business savvy.

S

The 90s had a lot of faults and plenty of cringe – however, compared to where we are today, the 90s felt much freer.
