The President of Uganda is not a fan of the gay community. As a matter of fact, he’s criminalized being gay in his country and he makes no apologies for it.

Back in 2014, President Museveni signed an anti-gay bill that criminalized gay marriage and sexual intercourse between the same sex.

As a result, anybody caught in the act of homosexuality would face life in prison. Eventually, that particular anti-gay law was later overturned, but homosexuality remains illegal in Uganda.

So, when President Museveni was asked by a reporter if he would meet with LGTBQ activists, his response said it all.
