Nobody has claimed responsibility, but this key link between the Russian mainland to the east and the Crimean peninsula has been severed. The 12-mile rail and road bridge was completed in 2018 after the annexation of Crimea four years earlier.
Update: The road portion of the Crimean Bridge has collapsed into the water.
