Sadly, the American mainstream media is in a ramshackle, poor and decrepit state that it is constantly outclassed by Indian media. The goal of the American media is to ideologize and propagandize, thus it constantly churns out nothing but corporate and government propaganda, cheap emotionalism, and cattle feed for the masses.
