Conservatives took to Twitter earlier today in righteous outrage after the arrest of Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17-year old who fatally shot two rioters last night in apparent self-defense. They argued that the prosecution of Kyle Rittenhouse is clearly political, and that he will have a strong case of self-defense to make in front of a jury of his peers.

First, some background on the shooting.

An Illinois teen suspected of killing two people and wounding a third during a third night of protests in Kenosha has been arrested and is now jailed in Lake County, Illinois.

Court records show Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Ill., has been charged there as a fugitive from justice. That document, reviewed by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, said he faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge in Kenosha County.

The warrant referenced in Lake County records is not yet listed in Wisconsin online court records.

Based on Wisconsin law, Rittenhouse would be charged as an adult.

Prominent conservative voices argued that this prosecution is unjust, and that Rittenhouse clearly acted in self-defense.

Conservatives also blasted Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post for its apparent dishonesty.

Video evidence appears to show the shooting victim throwing a Molotov cocktail at Rittenhouse, and then charging him like a raging bull.

A YouTube video examining every angle of the Rittenhouse shooting is making the rounds — notching 92K views already. See for yourself. What do you think? Is Rittenhouse guilty, or did he do nothing wrong? Let us know in the comments.
