Watching Walz squirm on Capitol Hill felt like the end of the road for Tampon Tim.

The Minnesota governor looked completely rattled as House Republicans walked through what may be one of the largest public fraud scandals in modern state history. Billions of dollars just POOF vanished from taxpayer-funded programs while all the red flags and warning signs piled up all over the place.

The numbers are absolutely staggering. From 2018 through 2025, investigators say roughly $18 billion in public programs in Minnesota was stolen. That’s about $2.5 billion a year disappearing while state leadership gave speeches about what a “fraud” President Trump is.

Now the bill is finally coming due for good ol’ Tim and his team.

And on Capitol Hill, lawmakers are laying out just how catastrophic their failure really was.

Before we get into the viral hearing clips, it’s important to understand just how serious this situation is. The House Oversight Committee laid it all out.

Oversight.House

For years, Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison presided over one of the most extensive breakdowns of oversight this Committee has ever examined.

Billions of taxpayer dollars were stolen from social services programs while warnings piled up, whistleblowers spoke out, and state officials chose delay and denial over action.

Federal prosecutors estimate that as much as $9 billion may have been stolen from just fourteen Medicaid programs administered by the State of Minnesota.

Those programs have cost taxpayers more than $18 billion since 2018, and investigators believe that half or more of that spending may have been lost to fraud.

That did not happen overnight. As our investigation has shown, it happened because state leadership failed, repeatedly, to intervene.

Governor Walz has claimed his administration addressed fraud “very early,” but that claim does not hold up to the facts—his administration kept payments flowing.

In January, in the first hearing of this series, we heard from Minnesota state representatives who made clear this fraud was not hidden.

It was known, documented, and repeatedly brought to the attention of state leadership.

In case after case, state agencies identified red flags and received warnings from auditors and employees, but continued to send money out the door.

Not because they lacked authority to intervene, but because they feared lawsuits, bad press, and political backlash.

While Governor Walz hesitated, taxpayers lost billions.

Attorney General Ellison has likewise claimed his office was aggressively holding fraudsters accountable, but when his statements were tested against the record, they fell apart.

Keep in mind, this wasn’t some well-kept secret. Many people knew about it and sent up red flags, but Minnesota leadership just shrugged their shoulders, and the money kept flowing out the window.

What makes this situation even more remarkable is how Walz reacted when JD Vance tried to stop the hemorrhaging.

Vance froze hundreds of millions in Medicaid payments over the fraud concerns, and Tampon Tim exploded.

Nick Sortor:

LMAO! Tim Walz is throwing an absolute FIT over JD Vance halting $260 MILLION in Medicaid payments to Minnesota due to the rampant fraud

“You can trust me on this: the person angriest about this fraud is ME!”

Bro, the REASON the fraud exists to begin with is YOU! 🤡

That reaction says it all, right?

For years, billions disappeared while state officials insisted everything was fine. But the moment someone stepped in and froze the payments, suddenly the outrage kicked in.

That’s the part that drives taxpayers crazy. Politicians like Walz treat these losses like it’s Monopoly money just floating around the board. But it’s not play money. It’s real hard-working American tax dollars.

That’s the kind of tension that boiled over during Wednesday’s hearing when Rep. Jim Jordan started digging into the details of who was actually behind the fraud. Spoiler alert: Somalis

And the numbers he cited were jaw-dropping.

Libs of TikTok:

Rep. Jim Jordan RIPS into Tim Walz over Somali fraud numbers

Jordan: “98 people been indicted. Do you know how many happen to be Somali-American?”

Walz: “I don’t… we don’t…”

Jordan: “85% of the people indicted were Somali-American. A key voting bloc…”

At that moment, Tampon Tim looked like he wanted to be anywhere else in the building.

But the hearing didn’t stop there…

Another moment that caught everyone’s attention involved payments tied to the massive “Feeding Our Future” fraud network, one of the biggest pandemic-era scams uncovered anywhere in the country.

If those allegations hold up, they paint a really dark picture of how long this system was allowed to keep going.

Even after all the warning signs, money still kept flowing back into the same fraud networks investigators were flagging like crazy.

But the scrutiny didn’t stop with Walz.

Rep. Tom Emmer went after Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, whose office was supposed to be “cracking down” on fraud throughout the state.

Eric Daugherty:

JUST IN: Rep. Tom Emmer GOES NUCLEAR on Minnesota AG Keith Ellison for trying to protect Somali fraudsters

Ellison MUST be criminally referred and prosecuted!

“Pretty BAD LOOK for you, sir! Either you were oblivious to what was going on under your nose, or WORSE, you were trying to obstruct the work of the Minnesota Department of Education!”

“You took aim at the MN DOE, you said the MN DOE fought the nonprofit in a very ‘racist xenophobic and Islamophobic manner!'”

This massive fraud happened across multiple programs, many departments, and multiple years. How did these so-called leaders not know? That’s the key, most people think they did.

These fraud numbers are so big, it’s mind-boggling.

Eighteen billion dollars in suspected fraud should be front-page news across the country. It should be leading every nightly broadcast and dominating the cable news cycle.

Instead, it’s barely a blip.

The media doesn’t care. If it’s not a story that hurts Donald Trump, they can’t be bothered. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the true foundation of fake news.

It’s not always what the media says.

It’s what they refuse to say.
