Just a few weeks ago, Bill and Hillary Clinton were digging in their little heels and refusing to testify about their close ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The message from Team Clinton was clear: they weren’t interested in cooperating, and they were prepared to fight any effort to drag them into sworn testimony.
Now we know why Bill and Hillary Clinton didn’t show up when they were subpoenaed about Epstein. pic.twitter.com/5hDpZhDEM2

Then, almost overnight, everything changed.
Suddenly, the same power couple that had brushed off congressional demands reversed course and agreed to sit for filmed, transcribed depositions. So, what happened? Well, officially, their change of heart came after the threat of contempt of Congress charges. But that explanation doesn’t quite hold all the water. There’s more to it. After all, the Clintons knew contempt was always on the table when they skipped their original testimony date. That risk wasn’t new.
So what really happened?
According to House Oversight Chairman James Comer, the Clintons weren’t rattled by Republican pressure. Why would they be? Republicans are a joke, and the Clintons know it.
But they were scared…
They were rattled by something far more dangerous to their brand and political survival: Democrats.
The left was preparing to join Republicans and throw Bill and Hill under the bus.

And that was a political nightmare the Clintons couldn’t afford to dabble in.
Comer says the turning point came when bipartisan momentum began building behind contempt proceedings, catching the Clintons completely off guard and forcing a rapid strategic retreat.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said Tuesday that Bill and Hillary Clinton only agreed to sit for transcribed, filmed depositions in the committee’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation after facing the real prospect of bipartisan contempt votes.
According to Comer, the outcome caught the Clintons off guard.
“We had a markup for contempt when they missed the [original] date that they were supposed to testify,” Comer said during an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle.”
“And to their surprise, a majority of Democrats on the Oversight Committee voted with all the Republicans.”
Comer said Democrat lawmakers had met with victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, many of whom wanted anyone known to have spent time with Epstein to be questioned under oath.
He noted that neither Clinton had ever previously been interviewed about their connections to Epstein.
However, Bill Clinton appears in photographs with Epstein and has repeatedly been accused of having a relationship with the pedophile.
The 42nd president and the former first lady were facing House votes this week to hold them in contempt of Congress if they continued refusing to appear before the committee.
If Comer’s right, the Clintons didn’t suddenly decide transparency was the right thing to do. They recognized they were about to lose the only protection that has historically shielded them from serious political damage: party loyalty.
Alex Jones agrees.
Alex Jones says Bill and Hillary Clinton have SURRENDERED on Epstein and will Testify because No One Will Protect them from being Jailed for Contempt of Congress:
“The old Globalist order is dead… Davos is dead the UN is dead. The Clintons know all their networks… are cut off. It’s all in Trump’s possession. They know the system would rather get them on a conviction of Contempt of Congress rather than letting them come testify… This is their Waterloo”

Once Dems signaled they were willing to side with Republicans, the Clintons were staring down a worst-case scenario. Contempt charges. Potential legal exposure. And maybe most damaging of all, the loss of media coverage that always follows Democrat political cues.
Without that protection, the Clintons would’ve been left standing alone, defending their refusal to answer questions about their ties to Epstein, a convicted predator whose network continues to unravel online, for the entire world to see. That would’ve been a catastrophic public relations problem… even worse than testimony.

JUST IN: Bill and Hillary Clinton are set to appear before Congress SEPARATELY: Feb. 26 for Hillary and Feb. 27 for Bill.
I hope the GOP shows up with a set of handcuffs for the Crooked Clinton’s.
Everyone knows they’re involved with Epstein and MUCH MORE.

The truth is, in many ways, we’re watching an elite reckoning play out, and while this country is still deeply divided, one thing many Americans agree on is that anyone connected to that creep needs to answer for it. In other words, this isn’t a hill Bill and Hillary can win on, but they can surely die on it if they don’t play their cards right.
