Another batch of Epstein docs dropped, and as usual, the loudest names are getting the headlines. But the real buzz isn’t coming from the obvious dirtbags. It’s coming from the smaller, stranger details that never quite sat right with people.

One of those weird details involves a bizarre 4chan post that appeared in August 2019, about an hour before the public was told Jeffrey Epstein had been found dead in his jail cell. The post claimed Epstein was found “dead” and described unusual activity inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
At the time, many tired to write it off as some bored internet troll.
But behind the scenes, federal authorities didn’t think it was a joke, and they wanted to know who wrote it. As a matter of fact, they opened a grand jury inquiry and issued subpoenas to multiple companies to identify the poster.
Here’s a copy of the 4Chan post from 2019:
The media reported on the post as well.
Less than an hour before the first news reports surfaced that Jeffrey Epstein had been found unresponsive in his jail cell, a post about his death mysteriously appeared on a far-right message board.
Authorities now want to know who was behind the post, which contained medically accurate details about the financier and accused sex trafficker.
The New York City Fire Department, for its part, has determined that the information in the post did not come from its records, a department spokesperson told NBC News. Fire officials reviewed the post on 4chan, a forum popular with internet trolls and people in the so-called alt-right movement.
Now, according to this new X post, we may finally know who that anonymous poster was and why his account of things matters so much.
According to newly released docs, it was written by a Metropolitan Correctional Center prison officer named Roberto Grijalva.
And that’s a game-changer.

He claimed to witness “unusual activity” at the prison the night before Epstein was found dead.
If accurate, the claim would suggest that one of the most controversial early accounts of Epstein’s death came from someone inside the facility, not from some random online speculation or an internet troll.
Epstein Files
THIS IS HUGE.
The individual who anonymously posted on 4Chan the morning of Epstein’s death, August 10, 2019 claiming he witnessed weird happenings at the prison before Epstein’s death has been identified in the Epstein files.
Roberto Grijalva, an officer at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York has been identified as the anonymous prison employee who posted on 4Chan claiming Epstein left his cell Friday evening shackled in a medical wheelchair while at the same time an unauthorized trip van arrived at the prison, which he believes took Epstein away the night BEFORE news broke of his death.
The day after Epstein’s death, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman of the SDNY opened a Grand Jury proceeding and subpoenaed 4Chan, Apple, AT&T and Citibank for records aiming to uncover Grijalva’s identity following the anonymous 4Chan post.
Grijalva’s name is not redacted on his bank records included in the SDNY subpoena response from Citibank for his 4Chan post, and ties to the same Prison Officer Roberto Grijalva whose statements were released as part of the prison’s investigation into Epstein’s death.
This is HUGE. We now have validation the 4Chan post from 8/10/2019 is a legitimate eyewitness account from an MCC prison officer that Epstein may have been switched out before news broke of his alleged suicide.

After reading all of this, the biggest immediate question we should all be asking is: where is Roberto Grijalva?”

No public information is available on his current employment or whereabouts.
Obviously, none of this stuff on its own proves what happened to Epstein that night, nor does it prove there was a switch. But it does raise reasonable questions.
If the Epstein files truly identify Roberto Grijalva as the anonymous author of that 4chan post, then the next step is simple, right? Is he alive and reachable? Can he confirm that he wrote the post? And does he stand by what he claimed to witness inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center in the hours before Epstein’s death was reported?
Those questions matter because the original post was very specific, oddly timed, and serious enough that federal authorities attempted to identify the author through subpoenas.
