Whoopsie. Look what Tampon Tim signed into law back in 2020. As the circus over the George Floyd protests raged on, Minnesota’s Legislature updated its “use-of-force” statute, and Gov. Walz signed it into law that July.

MN law §609.066: Officers can use deadly force if a driver accelerates toward them, creating immediate life-threatening danger. No need to wait for impact—they can act based on apparent intent & proximity.

Under Minnesota Statute 609.066, peace officers may use deadly force only when a reasonable officer believes it’s necessary to protect against death or great bodily harm. And it’s all based on the totality of circumstances known at the moment, not some hindsight debate after the fact.

Subd. 2.Use of deadly force.
(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 609.06 or 609.065, the use of deadly force by a peace officer in the line of duty is justified only if an objectively reasonable officer would believe, based on the totality of the circumstances known to the officer at the time and without the benefit of hindsight, that such force is necessary:

(1) to protect the peace officer or another from death or great bodily harm, provided that the threat:

(i) can be articulated with specificity;

(ii) is reasonably likely to occur absent action by the law enforcement officer; and

(iii) must be addressed through the use of deadly force without unreasonable delay; or

(2) to effect the arrest or capture, or prevent the escape, of a person whom the peace officer knows or has reasonable grounds to believe has committed or attempted to commit a felony and the officer reasonably believes that the person will cause death or great bodily harm to another person under the threat criteria in clause (1), items (i) to (iii), unless immediately apprehended.

(b) A peace officer shall not use deadly force against a person based on the danger the person poses to self if an objectively reasonable officer would believe, based on the totality of the circumstances known to the officer at the time and without the benefit of hindsight, that the person does not pose a threat of death or great bodily harm to the peace officer or to another under the threat criteria in paragraph (a), clause (1), items (i) to (iii).

In a split second, when some 5,000-pound vehicle is gunning toward you, cops don’t have the delightful luxury of some slow-motion analysis or perfect insight into the driver’s intent. Most people would reasonably assume that an antagonistic activist gunning an engine in their direction is trying to cause serious harm, right?

The video clearly shows what actually happened. A radical activist and her radical wife were provoking ICE, trying to antagonize them, and likely hoping to catch it all on camera so it could go viral. Instead, Renee Good gunned her car toward an ICE agent and was shot and killed in the process. That’s what the video shows.

But the truth is very inconvenient for the Left. They and their media buddies want you to believe that Renee Good was a scared, nervous young woman who was just trying to drop her child off at school and somehow ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. They don’t want you to see the video clips of Renee Good, gleefully dancing in her car as she purposely blocked the street and provoked ICE.

She is not just dropping her kids off at school. She did not just happen to encounter ICE. She is dancing in her car while blocking the road. This is what she felt was more important than being there for her children. Once again, stay out of law enforcement’s operations, don’t try to run them down, and you will remain breathing.

In reality, Ms. Good was part of ICE Watch, a radical anti-ICE group whose sole purpose is disruption and baiting law enforcement.

ICE Watch Minnesota—the group that Renee Good was reportedly affiliated with—shared this graphic in their “Legal/Resources” folder on Instagram. Among the recommended actions when witnessing ICE making an arrest are using cars to block ICE vehicles, and asking white people “to put their bodies” between agents and arrestees. They do warn that there are “legal risks,” but apparently they don’t realize illegally interfering with law enforcement carries an inherent risk of being physically harmed.

She wasn’t some homespun mom who wrote poetry in her spare time. Actually, most of her kids were taken away from her due to her abusive lesbian wife.

Even so, the Hollywood woke crew is coming out of the woodwork with their “Be Good” pins, to support the fake version of Renee Good that’s what the left wants everybody to believe.

Notice how the same brain-dead Hollywood actors who fell for the “Ice Agent killed Renee Good” hoax also believed Jussie Smollett was attacked by two white guys wearing MAGA hats, carrying a noose and bleach, in Chicago at 2 AM during a polar vortex, without question.

Leave it to Hollywood to fall for the fake propaganda.

But it doesn’t matter, because the law Tim Walz signed in 2020 is very inconvenient for him and the Left, but it exists for an excellent reason. It acknowledges the reality of what law enforcement faces every day. There is no time for perfect judgment or political second-guessing. Thankfully. that statute may end up being the saving grace for an officer who showed up to work that day and was nearly mowed down by a radical left-wing activist using a car as a weapon.
