Thanks to Nick Shirley’s reporting, the layers are still being peeled back on the massive Somali daycare fraud. And as the heat gets turned up to “nuclear levels,” something else is happening: panic.

But it’s not just US-based Somali pirates who are panicking; the media is as well. Just look at how they report on Nick’s incredible investigative journalism:

When the spotlight isn’t shining too bright, it’s easy for scams to stay polished. But when it gets bright, people start coming unglued and slipping. And now, as public scrutiny and outrage reach the boiling point in Minnesota, Ohio, and beyond, what we’re seeing unfold doesn’t look like sophisticated fraud; it reads more like pure desperation.

So, the panic really got kicked up a notch thanks to a viral local X thread. Locals began posting what they were seeing with their own eyes. Buildings being passed off as daycares where no families were ever seen coming or going. Vans parked outside that never moved, lights that rarely changed, and addresses that were more about paperwork than real-life stuff.

In that viral thread, people started pointing out one specific daycare that didn’t add up:

The Minnesota license lookup website is still down, but people are submitting some of their neighborhood daycare findings.

“This one is across the street from me, and never once have I seen a single person walking through those doors. They do have 2 vans that never move, a white one and a black one. Every time a loud vehicle drives past the alarms go off, so someone is watching them.”

And once that thread went viral, and the Somali-run Nokomis Daycare was highlighted, the panic set in.

And that brings us to this latest (laughable) claim out of Minneapolis. Right after that X thread, there was a conveniently timed “robbery” at the Nokomis Daycare, where the most important thing allegedly stolen just happened to be student and employee records.

You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to raise an eyebrow at that claim.

How Fox News could report this story with a straight face is anybody’s guess.

A Somali-run daycare in Minneapolis was broken into and vandalized, with “important documentation,” including records related to employees and children at the daycare, being reported missing.

The break-in occurred as a national spotlight continues to shine on Minneapolis and daycare facilities run by Somali immigrants in the wake of massive fraud allegations.

Nasrulah Mohamed, manager of Nokomis Day Care Center, told reporters Tuesday that the facility was broken into overnight Wednesday. He believes the incident occurred between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Nobody with any sense believes this was some “random” break-in by some stranger, just itching to get their hands on (likely fake) Somali kids’ records?

It’s a really hard pill for most people to swallow.

We’re to believe that after weeks of outrage and scrutiny and viral posts calling out fraud daycares, someone conveniently broke in and stole only enrollment records and employee documents, and nothing else?

And if there was any lingering doubt about how clownish this panic has become, the daycare’s own response should erase it.

It probably doesn’t help that the daycare “manager” was wearing really pricey-looking Chrome Hearts glasses.

And just when you think the panic and unhinged behavior can’t get any worse, it does.

A burka-clad Somali woman decided to go on TikTok and threaten Elon Musk’s life.

This is a public statement, on video, threatening the life of one of the most visible figures in the world. And it’s being said so casually, like there are zero consequences.

As you can clearly see, when fraud gets exposed and the lies stop working, panic sets in and makes people totally reckless.

Thankfully, Team Trump isn’t wasting time. They’re going in, laser-focused to end this fraud at the core.

The Small Business Administration says it has already reviewed thousands of potentially fraudulent pandemic-era loans tied to Minnesota, and action is now underway. According to SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler, nearly 6,900 Minnesota borrowers have been suspended amid suspected fraud connected to roughly 7,900 PPP and EIDL loans totaling about $400 million.

As real scrutiny finally targets the Somali fraud operations, the stories are getting sloppier, the reactions more frantic, and their behavior is off the charts reckless. Excuses turn into absurd “robberies,” and denials are now public death threats. Suddenly, the Somalis who were perfectly comfortable operating in the shadows are scrambling in public.

Their cover is gone.
