A freshman congressman out of Texas just walked into Washington and lit a match. While most new reps spend their first term learning where the cameras are and how to sound important on cable news, Brandon Gill came in like a freaking house on fire and put his name on the map, thanks to one hearing. This guy, the youngest in Congress, just unleashed a series of rapid-fire questions that exposed exactly how deep and dirty the Minnesota Somali fraud actually goes.

The whole thing unfolded during the opening of the House Oversight investigation into what may be one of the biggest taxpayer fraud operations in modern history. Billions that were meant to feed children, care for autistic kids, house the disabled, and fund Medicaid were allegedly used to buy luxury homes, flashy cars, and lavish vacations for Somali pirates. Also, there are credible reports and evidence that show a lot of that money was routed overseas to fund terrorism. And according to Oversight Chairman James Comer, state leadership in Minnesota knew it was happening and did nothing about it.
House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) delivered opening remarks at today’s hearing on “Oversight of Fraud and Misuse of Federal Funds in Minnesota: Part I.” In his opening statement, Chairman Comer emphasized that criminals in Minnesota have stolen an estimated $9 billion dollars—taxpayer funds intended to feed children, provide services to autistic children, house low-income and disabled Americans, and provide healthcare to vulnerable Medicaid recipients. He pointed out how Americans’ tax dollars were stolen by fraudsters to buy luxury homes, flashy cars, extravagant vacations, and, reportedly, even funneled to terrorist networks overseas. While Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and state Democrats failed to act despite repeated warnings, Chairman Comer stressed that the American people demand accountability—including jail time for those responsible—and insisted that Congress must evaluate legislative solutions to ensure this never happens again.
This stuff has been going on for eons. This investigation didn’t come out of nowhere… it goes way back, beginning with food assistance fraud, then branching into sham daycare centers and welfare schemes that became full-blown pipelines of taxpayer abuse.
Investigators are now going door-to-door raiding Somali ‘businesses.”

The scandal is so massive that it cracked the media firewall, thanks in large part to independent reporting from a 23-year-old YouTuber named Nick Shirley. His reporting helped connect the dots between the food fraud, daycare scams, and the political protection that allowed all of it to go on. Nick’s reporting was the final nail in Tim Walz’s political career.
Now, Congress is getting in there and pulling threads, and so far, one based guy has stolen the show….

So who is this super based rep? Well, his name is Brandon Gill. He’s a Trump-endorsed, America First fighter who believes the left is deranged, the Biden regime unleashed total chaos, and his father-in-law, Dinesh D’Souza, is both a hero and a mentor.
Rep. Brandon Gill knows how to get attention.
Now a 31-year-old Republican freshman in Congress, Gill has been courting President Donald Trump’s favor since he founded the DC Enquirer, a conservative outlet in 2022. He calls liberals “deranged,” says Biden unleashed “chaos” across the country, and considers Dinesh D’Souza, his father-in-law who was federally convicted of making illegal campaign contributions, a political mentor.
Gill, of Flower Mound, appears regularly on conservative platforms including Fox News, OAN and high-profile podcasts — and clips of his House hearing questions have racked up more than a million views on YouTube.
Gill was selected to serve on subcommittees within the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and instead of just easing into the role, he went straight for the jugular. What you’ll see below is a line of questioning that is going viral for a reason and likely left Democrat witness Brendan Ballou (and others) shook… that’s because of Gill’s machine-gun questioning. Smooth, controlled, and relentless.
Gill’s data points were stacked up like Legos.
Gill walks the witness through some rather jaw-dropping Somali disparities in welfare usage, Medicaid dependence, English proficiency, and political incentives, all while shutting down attempts to dodge the questions. He forced the witnesses to admit how long Minnesota officials knew about the fraud, whether Governor Walz was aware, and whether political loyalty played a role in the cover-up.

Some online are already joking that Congress just found its Superman. The man of steel in a murky swamp, perhaps?

But goofy nicknames aside, what Gill did in this exchange is exactly what Americans have been begging to see for years. Now, if this line of questioning and the overall investigation are actually backed up with real accountability and justice, America will be back in business.

The timing couldn’t be better, because as we speak, even more Somali-linked fraud is coming to light.

Yes, the soundbites were sharp, the questioning was smart, and credit goes to freshman Rep. Gill for coming out of the gate like a badass. But clever exchanges aren’t the finish line. Americans want more than viral clips. They want to know exactly what happened, who was involved, who looked the other way, and who benefited from the fraud, no matter how powerful or politically protected they are. Accountability can’t stop at exposure. Justice means real consequences, not X posts.
