There’s been a lot of chatter lately about the Somali community in Minneapolis. Specific groups have landed in the news thanks to major fraud cases that investigators say involve many Somali refugees, along with possible links to Dem politicians and left-wing organizations.

Yet, even so, we’re still told by liberals and their media cohorts that the Somali community is the “fabric” of our nation and basically built America into what it is today.

Somalis believe that white Americans are simply “jealous” of the Somalian excellence.

However, this X post below pretty much says it all, right?

According to one (controversial) study, Somalis reportedly have one of the lowest average IQ scores in the world, yet even so, the Somali community was still able to steal billions under Governor Tim Walz’s watch. This is the same Tim Walz whom President Trump recently called “seriously retarded.”
Looks like Trump was right. Again…

The study is contested by many on the left, and that’s not shocking since it cuts into their narrative that Somalis are supposedly enriching our culture.

Somalia ranks near the bottom of nearly every global development index. The country’s adult literacy rate is approximately 31%, according to UNESCO. Secondary-school completion remains below 20%.

The World Bank reports that Somalia’s population averages less than three years of formal schooling, one of the lowest levels on earth.

These indicators matter because they strongly correlate with employment outcomes, welfare dependence, and the rate at which newcomers integrate into advanced economies. Low educational attainment is a structural reality that shapes long-term results.

Somalia’s average IQ is estimated at around 68, placing it within the range typically used to classify significant cognitive-skill deficits.

While these estimates come from international intelligence and psychometric surveys rather than U.S. agencies, they illustrate the same underlying point reflected in all recognized human-capital measures: Somalia faces extraordinary developmental challenges.

When a country’s literacy rates, schooling years, and cognitive-skill indicators all rank near the lowest in the world, it is unrealistic to assume its refugee populations will seamlessly integrate into high-skill, high-productivity economies without substantial cost and long adjustment periods.

Back in 2003, even the LA Times inadvertently pointed out the Somali “struggle bus” in one of their articles.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey actually said the city of Minneapolis belongs to Somalis.

Paul A. Szypula:

Mayor Jacob Frey, as he won reelection, spoke almost a minute in Somali then said Minneapolis belongs to Somalia:

“This is a moment for unity where the entire Somali community can come together and say, ‘This is our people, this is our city, we are united behind each other.’”

The pandering here is insane.

A city struggling with fraud, crime, and gang activity belongs to Somalis? That isn’t exactly the “success story” Mayor Frey seems to think it is.

Sadly, this is a truth many of the left refuse to admit: when pirate culture clashes with the “welfare state,” the results are devastating.

Podcaster and journalist Matt Walsh weighed in on this issue on X recently, questioning where this so-called “excellence” actually is.

Eric Daugherty:

🚨 MATT WALSH: “The average IQ in Somalia is 68, which is below the line for mental retardation.”

“Where is this ‘Somali excellence,’ exactly?”

“Their per capita GDP is $1K (USA is $90K). Somalia does not have a functional waste management system. The tallest fully constructed building is 10 stories.”

CORRECT 💯💯

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a single Somali here.

Matt Walsh went on to argue that this group of refugees, based on the fraud and draining of our resources, are actually “leeches.”

The question now is this: we’re told that “Somalis built America” and how they’re the “fabric of our nation.” But how is that possible when they can’t even build (or maintain) their own nation?

And to add to the “excellence” debate, it turns out the average Somali refugee actually costs US taxpayers $1.1 million in welfare.

By all factual accounts, these Somali refugees have a very long way to go in terms of providing the “excellence” we’ve been told exists. As it stands now, they’re accused of massive amounts of fraud, soaring crime, and draining US resources. That doesn’t sound like “excellence” by any practical standard. Add to that the fact that Tim Walz, a man whom Trump accused of being “retarded,” was duped by these people who, according to that UNESCO study, have a 68 IQ on average. That doesn’t bode well for Mr. Walz’s “excellence” either.
