The massive Somali daycare fraud in Minnesota has left a lot of people reeling and really pissed off. And for good reason. We’re not talking about some isolated mistakes or paperwork errors. This group is a large swath of the Somali community in Minnesota, gleefully exploiting a US system where taxpayer dollars meant to help low-income families were stolen. Investigators, reporters, and whistleblowers have now shown that many Somali-run “daycare centers” were actually licenses to print money. In other words, they billed the state for children who weren’t there and services that were never provided… to the tune of about 100 million a month. And, a lot of that money was sent back home to reportedly fund terror groups… and all of this happened under Tim Walz’s watch.

Revolver:

For years now, there have been whispers coming out of Minnesota about massive fraud hiding in plain sight. Not small-time scams. Not paperwork errors. We’re talking about an entire ecosystem built around public money, weak oversight, and political protection.

A recent investigative report from Nick Shirley blew the lid off just how deep this all goes. At the center of it all is a web of nonprofits, shell organizations, and state-funded programs that were supposed to help low-income families, but instead, they became a money-printing operation. And one of the biggest engines driving that machine is something most people would never suspect…

Daycares.

What’s especially disturbing is that this wasn’t some hidden secret. Red flags went up back in 2018 and investigations were launched.

And yet the fraud continued to grow, unchecked… again, all on Governor Tim Walz’s watch.

Now, as that scandal continues to unfold, another troubling story is emerging, this time out of Ohio, and once again, it’s happening in a Somali hotbed.

Local officials there are confirming widespread fraud in a different government program, home health care. And while the mechanism is different, the pattern feels really familiar. Weak oversight. Rubber-stamped approvals. Massive sums of public money are flowing out with little verification that real services are actually being delivered.

This matters, because it suggests the Minnesota Somali daycare scandal wasn’t some one-off. It may be a warning sign of a much bigger and broader Somali-scam problem with how these programs are designed, monitored, and protected from abuse all over the United States.

That brings us to what Ohio officials are now saying.

What they’re describing is a system so loose and so poorly monitored that it practically invites exploitation. Could this be another Somali racket? The clip below lays out exactly how it works, how much money is involved, and why officials are calling for a deep dive.

Eric Daugherty:

🚨 WOW. Ohio attorney Mehek Cooke CONFIRMS MASSIVE fraud in Ohio, another hotbed for Somalis

They run fake “home health” and bill $250,000 PER YEAR, per FAMILY, when no work is actually being done

She says it also happens in PENNSYLVANIA

“Audit America. Audit Ohio now. And I’m pushing for that in every single state!”

“The state will, as long as the doctor has approved it, continue to pay you. It could be for 10 hours, 12 hours, up to 24 when it’s critical care.”

“So you could sit at home without caring for an elderly parent who really doesn’t need it, make about $75,000 to $90,000 a year. Now you add two parents, that’s $180,000. Now you add your in-laws $250,000.”

“You continue to add this and you wonder what are the services being provided? So a lot of providers came and said fraud is occurring because we said we weren’t going to rubber stamp this paperwork.”

“So they went to other providers, their home health care networks saying we’ll make it worth your while. Well, sounds like a kickback to me.”

“So we really need to investigate the Medicaid system and how much it’s increased since the Somalian population came and who really needs critical care because that’s meant for our disabled, our elderly and people who really need it, not to just live off our system.”

“And that’s what’s happening in Ohio. I think it’s ridiculous. I think it’s despicable, but authorities are now looking at it from the Attorney General’s office to the U.S. Attorney’s office.”

“I flagged them all because this is Ohio tax dollars and we have to take it seriously. I’m tired of people telling me, well, this is the way it’s always been. It’s subjective and we can’t really check. No, you can.”

When you step back and look at all of this together, the pattern is impossible to ignore. What happened with the Minnesota Somalis wasn’t some weird one-off, and Ohio doesn’t feel accidental either. These programs are wide open, lightly monitored, and incredibly easy to game, especially for people who proudly come from a “pirate culture.”

It’s time to audit every single daycare and home healthcare operation operating in Somali neighborhoods.
