A very minor kerfuffle has broken out in elite conservative opinion. After Tucker Carlson interviewed Nick Fuentes, many lashed out, demanding Carlson’s head on a platter. Then, many lashed out again, demanding Heritage disavow Tucker Carlson.

Dr. Kevin Roberts of Heritage outright refused to do so, perhaps marking an end to the days of William F. Buckley drumming individuals out of the conservative movement.

The problem for the anti-Tucker brigade is that this issue is a tempest in an elite teapot. Most people probably have no idea that this spat is even occurring. Tucker has his finger on the pulse of middle America. He regularly interviews massive celebrities, faith leaders, politicians, and service members all over the political spectrum. That’s not going to change anytime soon.

The pro-Israel crowd would do well to make peace with Tucker and a GOP base that is increasingly skeptical of foreign influence on the party and the country.
