They may finally have him.

After an excruciating day-and-a-half-long manhunt, at least AP, Daily Mail, and NBC are all reporting the suspect as 22 year old Tyler Robinson, as told to them by law enforcement (agency as-yet unspecified).

Governor Cox at Friday morning press conference: “Good morning ladies and gentleman. We got him.”

Cox told press and public that the killer was identified to law enforcement by a family member.

The family member told investigators that Robinson had become more political in recent years, and had complained about Charlie Kirk’s politics in the days before the attack. Cox told the audience that Robinson was reported to have, on Discord, discussed a rifle matching multiple details of the firearm found after the attack. The rifle, a bolt-action Mauser 30-06, had a mounted scope. Inscriptions were also found on bullet casings that were found with the rifle, Cox said. An inscription on a fired casing read, Cox said, “notices, bulges, OWO what’s this?”

Three unfired casings were reportedly etched with the following, Cox told the audience:

“Hey Fascist! Catch!” with an “up arrow, right arrow,” and “three down-arrow symbols”
“Oh bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao”
“If you read this, you are gay lmao”
