There was a time, a million years ago, when America’s immigration policy was about bringing in the best and brightest… the innovators, the builders, the people who would work hard and make this country stronger. Those days are long gone. Nowadays, we import criminals, gang members, and dullards from foreign lands. We’ve become a homeless shelter for people who offer nothing to society except the same kind of rot and chaos they fled from.

Instead of assimilating into our culture, they drag us down into the very gutters they left behind—which seems to be exactly what the left wants.

And nowhere is this “game plan” more obvious than in New York City. Yes, the most famous city in the US, once the crown jewel of American culture and commerce, has been reduced to a dangerous, decaying mess under decades of Dem failure and mismanagement. The days when Rudy Giuliani cleaned up the streets and made NYC safe seem like ancient history at this point. And now, in his place, NYC has had one failed lefty after another, each one more inept and “soft on crime” than the last. And now, the city is on the verge of handing the reins over to a full-blown Marxist—a radical Communist who believes criminals are the “real victims.”

Case in point: the story of migrant scooter gangs who are terrorizing all five NYC boroughs. We’re not talking ‘joyriders, either. These are ruthless, organized crews made up largely of newly arrived migrants, some tied to violent gangs like the Trinitarios, MS-13, and TDA. These thugs travel in packs, robbing victims of all ages. From 97-year-old grandmas to children as young as 11, and honestly, anybody unlucky enough to be in their violent path. And these bad guys don’t just take cash and jewelry; they steal phones, hack into bank accounts, and strip victims of their savings before moving on to the next target.

Police know exactly where many of these stolen phones end up—at migrant shelters all over the city. But thanks to absurd pro-illegal/sanctuary policies, those shelters are treated like foreign embassies. For some insane reason, NYPD can’t just walk in and retrieve stolen property, even when the evidence is literally pinging inside. And with department rules banning high-speed scooter chases, suspects escape with ease. In other words, the criminals know they can get away with it, so they’re going hog wild—pun intended.

These criminals are so brazen, they’re not just attacking civilians. Recently, an off-duty NYPD officer in the Bronx was surrounded by Hispanic guys on scooters who tried to rip the chain from his neck. One of the Hispanics even flashed a “gun sign” before they fled off. NYPD later released a wanted flyer, but as usual, the suspects are still at large.

Reports of these migrant scooter crews have been circulating for years, but city officials dragged their feet, taking nearly a year and a half just to admit the problem existed. Now it’s raging out of control. But city leaders are still ignoring the problem, because they’re more worried about optics and keeping ICE out of sight than they are about keeping citizens—and police officers—safe.

New York City is under siege from ruthless scooter robbery crews, many operated by newly arrived migrants. These dangerous gangs—made up of adults and youths alike—travel in packs across the five boroughs, striking with near impunity. They don’t care who their victims are: reports reveal they’ve robbed 97-year-old women, children as young as 11, and anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.

Some of these crews are linked to notorious migrant gangs such as the Trinitarios, MS-13, TDA, and a Venezuelan gang, all of which have been wreaking havoc across the city. Beyond the street-level violence, these criminals also hack into stolen phones, draining bank accounts and stealing personal information, leaving victims devastated long after the attack.

Shockingly, just days ago in the Bronx, an off-duty NYPD officer was targeted in an attempted robbery by Hispanic males on scooters. The suspects encircled him and tried to snatch his chain before fleeing—and NYPD has since released a wanted flyer confirming one suspect simulated a gun sign at the officer during the brazen attack.

Despite the clear danger, NYPD officers say department policy prohibits high-speed scooter chases, allowing suspects to escape nine out of ten times. “We’re not allowed to pursue them because it could hurt someone,” one officer told Viral News NYC.

Adding to the challenge, stolen phones are often traced back to migrant shelters across the city—places police are barred from entering, treated like embassies. “Even when a phone pings directly inside a shelter, we can’t go in,” an officer said.

To combat the crime wave, the NYPD conducts quiet operations, confiscating scooters at shelters and crowded areas. But it barely makes a dent. “They steal new scooters the same day, sometimes within hours,” a source revealed. “You can hear it live over the police scanners—another scooter stolen.”

About three years ago, we broke the story on these migrant scooter gangs. It took officials a year and a half to even admit the problem existed. Now the crisis is worse than ever, but still, city leaders and law enforcement avoid confronting it head-on.

Why? Sources say fear of causing public panic and not wanting to give federal agencies like ICE justification to increase their presence. “ICE is already here,” one insider said, “but no one wants to admit there’s a problem that justifies them being here. It’s a Democrat-run state — the optics are terrible.”

Meanwhile, migrant shelters have become de facto safe zones for criminals, leaving neighborhoods and small businesses to suffer the consequences—slashed faces, stolen phones, drained bank accounts, and violent assaults.

Until real, decisive action is taken, these crews will only grow bolder and more dangerous.

And right on cue, Dems are blaming President Trump for the lack of international visitors, not soaring crime, including scooter gangs, and the astronomically high cost to even spend a day or two in New York City.

Needless to say, Mr. Levine got an earful from social media.

At the end of the day, this chaos is brought to you by the Dems. Their “Defund the Police” nonsense and soft-on-crime policies flipped the whole script, turning thugs into “victims” and law enforcement into the enemy. They’ve spent years building a reputation as pro-criminal radicals, and apparently the world took notice.
