Well, today is a bad day if you’re a liberal who loves to defend crime in DC.

The Trump Derangement Syndrome is so off the charts in Washington, DC, that liberals are literally siding with criminals just to oppose President Trump. That’s how broken their spirits, morality, and politics are. They would rather see robbery, carjackings, and violent crime run rampant than admit Trump’s law-and-order plan is working.

But it is working, and that’s a very big problem for the Dems.

Americans aren’t buying what the Dems are selling. They see Trump doing what Dems won’t… taking care of business, embracing law and order, and putting his money where his mouth is. While liberal elites would rather watch the “peasants” wallow and suffer, Trump is cutting crime and making the capital safer for everyone.

The results since federal control came down are really impressive.

According to the DC Police Union:

  • Robbery: down 46%
  • Carjackings: down 83%
  • Car theft: down 21%
  • Violent crime overall: down 22%
  • Property crime: down 6%
  • All crimes: down 8%

Think about those stunning stats for a minute. The single most overwhelming crime in DC, carjackings, has plummeted by 83 percent, and it happened practically overnight, to boot. Robberies have been slashed in half. Violent crime across the board is down by nearly a quarter. This is an amazing success for President Trump, but even more so for the people of DC who have been abandoned by their failed liberal leaders.

There was never any anti-crime Democrat policy. The only “reform” plan they had was to lower bail for the bad guys. And the truth is, no “soft-on-crime” experiment has ever produced results.

173 House Democrats backed a Washington, D.C. law to REDUCE penalties for:

– Murders
– Sexual assault
– Robberies
– Carjackings
– Home invasions

Democrats are pro-criminal, and it’s why they are against Trump’s efforts to make the Capital safe again.

But Trump steps in, enforces the law, and the chaos starts to disappear.

It’s that simple.

It also helps that Judge Jeanine Pirro is now running the legal show in DC. She’s tough as nails, charging full steam ahead against crime, and she refuses to play the left’s game of pretending there was no crime crisis in the nation’s capital.

The left has been working overtime to spin the numbers, and they were even caught manipulating crime stats to make it look like crime was going down.

If you want to know how bad things really are in The Swamp, here’s your answer: city leaders have been cooking the books to make crime look less out of control than it actually is. That’s right, while American families are living in fear, dealing with theft, assaults, and violent attacks, police brass in the nation’s capital were directing officers to misclassify crimes. They were told to downgrade felonies to misdemeanors so they could protect the left-wing political class from having to face the ugly truth about their soft-on-crime policies and failed leadership.

This is exactly the kind of cover-up you’d expect from a Dem-run city, right? Instead of admitting and fixing the problem, they bury it, spin it, and punish anyone who dares to speak out. That’s what makes this story so important: a whistleblower inside the department exposed the scheme and was promptly fired for it. She sued the city, and they’ve now “quietly” settled with her.

And now that President Trump has stepped in to take control of the soaring crime nightmare, this story couldn’t come at a worse time for DC’s political elite, who are still out there spinning fairytales that crime is under control in DC.

Free Beacon:

The District of Columbia has quietly settled a lawsuit from a sergeant who accused Metropolitan Police Department leaders of misclassifying offenses to deflate the district’s crime statistics, court records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. Police brass repeatedly told officers to downgrade theft cases, knife attacks, and violent assaults to lesser offenses, according to internal MPD emails, depositions, and phone call transcripts the Free Beacon reviewed.

Former MPD sergeant Charlotte Djossou sued the department in 2020, alleging that police leadership punished her for speaking out against the scheme. Djossou, who joined the force after serving honorably in Iraq, accused MPD brass of attempting to “distort crime statistics” by “downgrading a number of felonies to misdemeanors, so that there will be ‘fewer’ felonies in the statistics.” She also provided records showing that police leaders explicitly instructed their subordinates to underclassify certain instances of theft to keep them out of the crime stats the city reports to the public.

Do they admit Trump’s plan works, or do they keep doubling and tripling down on supporting criminals over average citizens?

It’s already cost them once. The “Defund the Police” lunacy destroyed any shred of Dem credibility they had left and turned cities into war zones. Voters revolted. And yet, here we go again; they’re once again clinging to policies that put violent offenders first and hardworking Americans last.

This is the hill they’ve chosen to die on… fighting for crime, chaos, and decline, all because they can’t stand the thought of Trump being right or succeeding.
