If the allegations in this case out of Nebraska are true, this is one of the most disturbing examples of immigrant crime in recent memory, and it completely shatters the left’s fantasy narrative about these do-gooder immigrants. Dems love to pretend that every person crossing our border is some hardworking doctor, scientist, or dreamer with a heart of gold and that the idea of bad actors slipping through is just some “right-wing talking point.” But here we are again, with a horrifying case involving child sex trafficking and drugs, all allegedly orchestrated by an Indian immigrant family who used their hotel business as a front for horrific human misery.

If these allegations are correct, then the Chaudharis, an Indian immigrant family that owned hotels in Nebraska, were engaged in an operation to traffic underage children across the Southern border to work in their hotels as laborers and prostitutes (and for their own sexual gratification), an operation to traffic illegal immigrants to the state of Washington to secure IDs, and an operation to fraudulently secure U visas by staging fake crimes.

Some or all of these trafficked illegal immigrants appear to have come from India.

They also used their hotels as drug trafficking hubs.

And here’s the part that should outrage every American… this wasn’t some hidden back-alley operation. Investigators claim this alleged trafficking scheme was running out in the open in plain sight, using hotels that families visited, businesses inside popular shopping malls, and properties near major public attractions. Children as young as 12 were allegedly forced into sex acts. Adults were crammed into filthy rooms, sleeping on the floor with cockroaches, and forced into grueling hard labor for pennies. And let’s not even get started on the drugs that were flowing through all of these locations as well.

Here are more details on the story:

Nebraska Examiner: 

A multi-year investigation centered on multiple motels, “brow and lash” salons and alleged human trafficking in and around Nebraska’s largest city has led to charges against five people in the hotel business.

The five, who own, operate and manage the involved hotels, are accused of crimes ranging from alleged sex and labor trafficking, fraudulent use of visas, money laundering and concealing undocumented immigrants, law enforcement officials announced Tuesday.

Also seized as part of the search warrants was $565,000 in cash and jewelry. A representative of U.S. Homeland Security said workers in the country without proper documentation also were detained, though he declined to disclose how many.

Eugene Kowel, special agent in charge of the Omaha FBI, said child victims as young as 12 years old were involved in a case he described as “absolutely horrific.” A statement said officers “rescued” 10 minors and 17 adults from the alleged labor trafficking conspiracy.

“Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery,” Kowel said. “This investigation revealed victims right here in the heartland forced into sexual activity, living and working in dangerous and filthy conditions and extorted to work in grueling jobs with little to no pay.”

Kowel said investigators became aware of activity about four years ago, assisted by calls and concerns from the public.

He said the case involved “sex for rent,” drugs and more. On one occasion, he said, a source working with the federal government entered a hotel room where immigrants slept on the floor with cockroaches crawling on them.

Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer said more than 100 Omaha officers worked the case at various points, mostly since earlier this year, when an alleged juvenile sex trafficking case was revealed at one of the hotels that was also part of Tuesday’s crackdown. That property, the AmericInn near Interstate-80 and 13th Street, is adjacent to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo.

Other motel properties upon which agents converged Tuesday: New Victorian Inn & Suites near 108th and L Streets; Rodeway Inn at 1110 Fort Crook Road South in Bellevue; The Inn (formerly Super 8) at 9305 S. 145th St.

Ten other businesses associated with the accused also were searched under a warrant, the officials said, including “brow and lash” salons in the Westroads Mall and other Omaha metro locations.

United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced that five people were charged by complaint for a range of federal violations that center around their alleged conspiracy to engage in labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and harboring of aliens at several hotel locations across the Omaha metro area and into central Nebraska.  The defendants own, operate and manage several hotels in the Omaha metro area located at the following locations where federal search warrants were executed in the early morning hours of August 12, 2025:

The AmericInn, 2920 S 13 Ct., Omaha;
The Inn (formerly Super 8), 9305 S 145th St., Omaha;
The New Victorian, 10728 L St., Omaha; and
Roadway Inn, 1110 Fort Crook Rd S, Bellevue, NE.
The five charged and arrested on August 12, 2025, are:

Kentakumar Chaudhari, a/k/a Ken Chaudhari, age 36, of Elkhorn, NE;
Rashmi Ajit Samani, a/k/a Falguni Samani, age 42, of Elkhorn, NE;
Amit Prahladbhai Chaudhari, a/k/a Amit, age 32, of Omaha;
Amit Babubhai Chaudhari, a/k/a Matt, age 33, of Omaha; and
Maheshkumar Chaudhari, a/k/a Mahesh, age 38, of Norfolk, NE.
The redacted complaint affidavit contains a more complete summary of the allegations. Criminal Complaints are charging documents that contain one or more individual counts that are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Federal, state, and local law enforcement partners worked together today to safely execute search warrants at 14 business premises and two residential locations associated with the defendants.  Four of those premises were either hotels or motels, and the remaining businesses were “Brow and Lash” salons located in the Westroads Mall and at other Omaha metro area locations.

During the operation, law enforcement officers rescued 10 minors from an alleged labor trafficking conspiracy that involved putting children under the age of twelve years old to work at the hotels for long hours with little to no pay.  Seventeen adult victims were also rescued from the same conspiracy.  The complaint affidavit details the allegedly exploitative conditions these victims were subjected to while being required to pay the defendants for their lodging at the hotels.  The lodging accommodations were unclean, unsafe, and unhealthy. Online reviews for the hotel locations detail the firsthand accounts of travelers who occupied the same locations briefly.  On one occasion, a source working with the federal government entered a hotel room where immigrant victims were sleeping on the floor of the room with cockroaches crawling on the victims as they slept.

It’s hard to fathom this kind of horror is unfolding in the heartland of America. But even more disturbing is that the accused are Indian immigrants. This is the group the left loves to hold up as the “heart and soul” of America.
