In the wake of the raid on John Bolton’s house and office this morning, Americans on the social media platform X dug up multiple old videos of John Bolton cheerleading the raid on Mar-a-Lago (and the prosecutions against Trump in general).

Oh, the irony.

August 11, 2022 CNN: Bolton defended Biden’s FBI: “Overwhelmingly, they are professional in carrying out their duties… I don’t recognize a lot of the criticisms that are being made of these institutions.”
August 15, 2022 The Independent: Bolton said Pres Trump’s “excuses for retaining classified papers show “desperation”: “It worried people all the time… almost nothing would surprise me about what’s in the documents at Mar-a-Lago.”
August 15, 2022 MSNBC: Bolton slammed GOP defenses of Pres Trump, saying his handling of classified info was “always a concern.”
August 23, 2022 ABC. Bolton the raid: “Reports suggest the former president was holding onto more than 300 pages of classified documents.”
August 26, 2022 Business Insider: Bolton said Pres Trump is “almost certainly” lying about declassifying documents: “I’d never heard of any kind of order like that.”
September 2, 2022 CBS News: Bolton said Pres Trump showed “disdain” for classification: “It just didn’t register with him that safeguarding this information… could be jeopardized.”
