For almost a decade now, the Left’s favorite insult has been to call Donald Trump an idiot. They toss it around like it’s some kind of magic word that automatically disqualifies him from being taken seriously. Not only is it juvenile, it’s also lazy, smug, and totally out of touch.

This is what happens when people are so blinded by hate that they can’t even see what’s right in front of them. It’s easier for them to dismiss Trump as “dumb” than to admit they underestimated a guy who just keeps winning in court, in the polls, and in the public eye.

In fact, right now, President Trump is the most popular Republican president in history.

The ol’ “he’s an idiot” trope is a classic elitist coping mechanism: if someone threatens your worldview or your status, just sneer and write them off as unintelligent. But that arrogance is exactly why Trump steamrolls these people; they don’t take him seriously, and by the time they realize they should have, it’s way too late.

And no one embodies that smug, Hollywood delusion better than George Clooney.

Just watch this old clip of Clooney confidently declaring that Trump would “never be president.” You can practically see the champagne bubbling up behind his eyes. Clooney doesn’t live in the real world… he lives in a gilded echo chamber where everyone claps like trained seals at the same failed ideas.

George is back again with another bad take, and he’s looking a lot more haggard. Now he’s declaring that “Trumpism” won’t survive a second term. This guy hasn’t been right about anything yet.

Once again, these are just lazy coping mechanisms the Left leans on to soothe their bruised egos. Maybe George should stick to coffee commercials…

But now even CNN’s Van Jones, a guy who’s spent years fighting Trump, has finally had enough of the delusion. In a moment of raw honesty, he flat-out admits what the Left can’t bring themselves to say out loud. Trump is smarter than everyone.
