President Donald Trump on Thursday said that he has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release relevant grand jury testimony related to the disgraced, late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The order comes as the Trump administration faces heavy bipartisan backlash over its handling of the Epstein case, including its promise to release additional files related to its investigation into the late financier.

Trump has heavily criticized the media coverage devoted to Epstein, who died while serving a prison sentence in 2019.

"Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval," Trump posted to Truth Social. "This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!"

Bondi responded in a post on X that she was ready to "move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts."
