Carnival Cruise Line is finally cracking down after their short weekend cruises turned into floating fight clubs. And while the company’s new rules don’t say it out loud, let’s be real, everyone knows what’s going on here.

The problem for Carnival is that their budget-friendly quick cruises started attracting a particular crowd that doesn’t seem too interested in peace, quiet, or basic human decency. We’re talking about brawls, chair-throwing melees, and viral TikTok footage that’s turned Carnival into the Spirit Airlines of the sea.

This narrator did a tremendous job.
43-year-old passenger Nick Richardson said he was going to get some pizza when he walked into a war zone.
“Those girls were already set on what they were gonna do. It just got out of hand very, very quickly. And that’s how it happens. You’re just drinking too much,” Richardson said.
Carnival released a statement about the incident, saying the guests involved were fined and are banned from sailing again.
“As is our policy, we will not tolerate such behavior and the guests involved were fined and will not sail on Carnival Cruise Line again,” they said.

These “fight club” videos have practically become a weekly tradition, and they’re sinking the Carnival brand faster than the Titanic.

Now Carnival’s scrambling to clean up the chaos with stricter rules, curfews for minors, a ban on Bluetooth speakers, and no more clacking handheld fans that seem to trigger viral dance-offs gone wild. In case you missed it, there’s a song called “Boots on the Ground” that uses fans as props, and it has been known to turn the whole deck into a madhouse.
There’s even a rumor flying around that they banned hip-hop music—they actually haven’t officially, but the fact that people believe it tells you everything, right?
Here’s a summary of their new rules:
Many white liberals, who wouldn’t be caught dead on one of these cheap weekend cruises, are suddenly screaming “racism” at Carnival.
Carnival Cruise Line is addressing backlash over recent onboard safety guidelines that some online critics have argued disproportionately impact Black passengers. In recent weeks, passengers have shared formal notices from Carnival outlining what the company describes as a renewed commitment to onboard safety and “respectful behavior.”
The rules cover curfews for minors, marijuana restrictions, and bans on Bluetooth speakers and handheld fans. In a statement, the company emphasized that the rules are intended to promote a more peaceful environment, not to signal any form of cultural erasure. In fact, many of these policies have been in place for years — as explained in a Feb. 2023 video outlining what’s appropriate while onboard their ships.
“Unfortunately, certain media outlets have blown this matter out of proportion,” Matt Lupoli, Senior Manager of Public Relations at Carnival Cruise Line, told Parade. Minors under 18 must now be out of public areas by 1 a.m. unless accompanied by an adult in their party or participating in a supervised teen program.
Handheld fans — particularly the non-battery kind often used in viral dance trends — are also prohibited due to the loud “clack” sound, which Carnival says could cause injuries in crowded areas.
Let’s be honest, whatever rumors are flying about Carnival’s new rules, the “why” isn’t really a mystery. The internet has seen the nonstop brawl videos. We all know what’s going on.
And honestly, nobody understands what’s going on better than the black community itself.
On TikTok, a growing number of decent, hardworking black Americans are sick of it. They’re watching in real time as a loud, unhinged “ghetto group” makes everyone else look bad, and they’re finally speaking up. These are the people who are tired of the ghetto behavior, the chaos, the victimhood narratives, and the entitlement that gets slapped over everything. They’re done with the excuses. They’re calling out the “ratchet” crowd, distancing themselves from it, and saying enough is enough.
Some are even using the term “Black Fatigue,” a way of describing how fed up everyday Americans are with the constant finger-pointing and bad behavior that drags down everyone around it. And they’re not wrong, are they?

This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with culture. Carnival may not be allowed to say it, but the people living it sure are.
Take a look at this series of TikTok clips where black creators break it all down, calling out exactly what’s been happening—with no filter whatsoever—and why Carnival was right to step in:
At the end of the day, you can’t blame Carnival for trying to protect its brand. And praising the thugs who keep turning these cruises into mini war zones doesn’t help the black community; it actually hurts it. The same white liberals screaming “racism” are the ones who turn career criminals like George Floyd into civil rights icons. This progressive, performative nonsense needs to stop. These black Americans on TikTok are right: the country is fed up, and ghetto fatigue is real.
