Another so-called conspiracy theory turns out to be true. For decades, the Pentagon pushed fake UFO stories, and now we know why. It was all a smokescreen. Not to protect the public, but to protect their own classified programs.

According to a bombshell new report from the Wall Street Journal, military insiders are spreading wild UFO rumors, allowing them to spiral out of control and spread everywhere. Why would they do this? Because it gave them cover to test secret technology, run black ops, and even haze their own people inside the system.

Turns out, the tinfoil-hat crowd was more right than wrong. And once again, it’s the so-called “trusted institutions” who’ve been lying through their teeth the entire time.

According to the new Wall Street Journal investigation, the US military spent decades deliberately planting fake UFO stories, doctoring photos, and fueling public hysteria.

Daily Caller:

A recent Wall Street Journal investigation reveals that much of America’s UFO mythology has been fueled by Pentagon disinformation campaigns designed to cover up real secret-weapons programs, not extraterrestrial encounters.

The report uncovers that as early as the 1950s, the U.S. military spread doctored photos and false stories — such as doctored images of “flying saucers” at Area 51— to mislead the public and protect classified stealth fighter projects. Rather than hiding alien technology, the military sought to keep secret the development of advanced weapons systems critical to national security during the Cold War. The Pentagon’s congressionally-ordered probe, led by chief scientist Sean Kirkpatrick, found that disinformation was often propagated by local commanders as well as possibly by institutional programs, creating fertile ground for decades of myths.

These myths were sometimes allowed to flourish intentionally to misdirect foreign intelligence, especially from the Soviet Union.

But it wasn’t just the public getting played.

Inside the military, the disinformation ran so deep that even commanders were falling for it or being forced to play along. The Wall Street Journal uncovered a jaw-dropping hazing ritual where new Air Force leaders were shown fake photos of antigravity flying saucers and told to keep the lid on it. The Daily Caller piece goes on.

In 2023, investigators uncovered a bizarre “hazing” ritual within the Air Force’s classified programs, where new commanders were shown fake photos of supposed antigravity vehicles and told to keep the secret, fueling further misinformation.

The Department of Defense plans to release a follow-up report detailing these findings later this year. Meanwhile, the Pentagon’s public 2024 report on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) omitted key facts to protect classified programs and avoid embarrassment, leaving the public suspicious. Republican members of Congress have formed a caucus demanding more transparency on UAP crash retrieval programs.

The investigation also revealed chilling Cold War-era incidents, such as in 1967 when nuclear missile launch systems were mysteriously disabled by electromagnetic tests, which some former Air Force personnel still believe were caused by alien craft.

Plenty of people reading this story think this is the real psyop—that the Pentagon’s “fake UFO” narrative is actually a cover-up for the real truth: aliens exist, and the government knows it.

And speaking of space and disappointing outcomes, three years ago we covered a story about NASA, one of the government’s most controversial programs. As you likely know, there’s no shortage of theories on whether or not we actually made it to the moon.

Revolver:

NASA’s new Artemis lunar program, by contrast, has already cost nearly one fourth of the entire Apollo program and it hasn’t even gotten off of the ground! This is especially humiliating given the fact that we have already gotten to the moon, multiple times. The hard part has already been done. One would think if the Apollo program cost 200 billion (in inflation adjusted dollars) the same lunar feat should cost a fraction of that in 2022. Indeed, one would think the cost efficiencies of over a half century of technological advancement would at least offset the cost of inflation.

And yet, to our great humiliation, despite 40 billion spent on the Artemis program that hasn’t even gotten off the ground, we haven’t gotten close to replicating a technological feat (manned moon mission) we accomplished over a half century ago with pocket calculator, slide rule technology!

And speaking of theories, one making the rounds after the WSJ bombshell is that all this UFO lore was weaponized for control. Think blackmail, but with an intergalactic twist. Say the government needs a favor from a high-powered billionaire who’s not playing ball. Suddenly, they’re offered a glimpse at classified images of real-life aliens… in exchange for cooperation.

Would a deal like that be too tempting to pass up for someone like Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, or Tim Cook?

However, the real issue here is that no matter what the truth is, a bombshell story like this further erodes the public’s trust and confidence in our so-called experts and government, which, as you know, took its biggest hit during the COVID fiasco. Time will tell how much damage this latest lie will have on the country.
