Activist Judge Jeb Boasberg is pretty familiar with controversy. After all, he’s been trying to sabotage President Trump’s America First efforts from his bench. Boasberg’s made it his personal mission to screw up President Trump’s immigration policy, especially when it comes to removing violent criminals and foreign national gangbangers. Which leads us to his most brazen move… when he tried to block Trump’s lawful deportation of Venezuelan nationals tied to Tren de Aragua, one of the most dangerous and sadistic transnational gangs in the Western Hemisphere.

Boasberg tried to portray these violent illegals as innocent victims, even getting all poetic in a court opinion that sounded more like a theatrical monologue than an actual legal ruling. He framed the situation using this dramatic Kafka quote, as if gang members being booted out of our country was some dystopian tragedy. Right on cue, the left lapped it up. But the higher courts? Not so much.

This week, Boasberg’s activist fantasy came crashing down.

A three-judge panel from the DC Circuit Court, all Trump appointees, by the way, just nuked Boasberg’s latest attempt to delay deportations. They issued a stay on his June 4th order that would’ve granted partial relief to illegal Venezuelans, including class certification and a preliminary injunction. The appellate court’s ruling puts that entire order on ice (pun intended) while the appeal moves forward. In very plain terms, Boasberg’s attempt to hand due process rights to violent foreigners has been stopped cold.

Boasberg has a habit of landing right in the center of left-wing political firestorms. We recently ran a story exposing his ties to the shady January 6 figure, Ray Epps.

Revolver:

James Boasberg isn’t just some random DC judge—he’s the Deep State’s go-to gavel. He’s a loyal foot soldier in the left’s lawfare machine. When the Swamp needs a ruling to punish the right and protect their own, Boasberg always delivers. And nowhere is that more obvious than in the case of the very mysterious character Ray Epps.

Ray Epps—the guy caught on camera urging people to “go into the Capitol.”

The connection between these two men—Boasberg and Epps—should concern every American. It’s one of the clearest, most flagrant displays of the left’s weaponized lawfare to date.

[…]

So, the guy who helped lead the charge on January 6 and who, for years, somehow avoided the DOJ’s obsession with J6 prosecutions while grandmas and peaceful protesters were hunted down and dragged through the mud ended up getting the lightest slap on the wrist from the Deep State’s biggest anti-Trump “rent-a-judge” on the planet.

After Epps was finally charged—with a single count of disorderly conduct—he was rewarded with a wrist slap from Boasberg: one year of probation. No jail. No lectures. No talk about mobs or responsibility. Just a quiet walk out the back door.

But all of this is part of a bigger pattern and plan.

The left has been stacking the lower courts with activist judges like Boasberg, who treat illegal aliens, Antifa rioters, and trans militants as a sacred political class. But one by one, those rulings are getting tossed out as they climb up the judicial ladder.

Just this year, we’ve seen multiple appellate courts side with Trump’s agenda:

The 5th Circuit upheld Texas’ right to arrest and remove illegals, undercutting Biden’s DHS “catch-and-release” scam. A federal appeals court ruled that Biden’s censorship collusion with Big Tech during the 2020 election likely violated the First Amendment, something Trump and his allies have been screaming about for years. And now, the DC appellate court has blocked Boasberg’s open-border stunt.

This is what it looks like when the system slowly corrects itself, but only because we’ve got the right judges in the right seats. It’s sad, but the US justice system has become a game of chess.

Julie Kelly broke this latest update on X with her signature flair:

Another strike out for Jeb Boasberg. Yesterday a 3-judge panel (all Trump appointees) of DC appellate court put a hold on his latest gambit to give “due process” rights to illegal Venezuelans tied to Tren de Aragua incarcerated in El Salvador terror prison.

I guess Boasberg’s dramatic Kafkaesque description of the plight of illegal Venezuelan gang bangers did not impress

Here’s a close-up of the images Julie shared:

As usual, Julie brought the receipts.

The court documents she posted show how Boasberg used Franz Kafka to paint a sob story about Venezuelan nationals detained in Texas, some allegedly being sent to El Salvador or Venezuela for processing. He describes the situation with flowery language, casting the DHS and Trump administration as shadowy oppressors.

It was his Harlequin Romance moment.

Thankfully, the appellate wasn’t amused.

The high court’s move was bold and signals that Boasberg’s logic is completely unserious.

It looks like that Kafka quote didn’t save him, after all.

This decision is a blow to Boasberg and the entire activist judge class that’s been trying to tie up Trump’s hands. It’s a sign that maybe the tide is turning, and the rule of law is being restored.
