The official verified X account for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department posted, and then quickly edited and then deleted, a truly baffling message: they actually offered condolences to Iran after President Trump’s military strikes wiped out key parts of their nuclear program.

Yes, you read that right. While Trump is dealing with Iran’s nuclear ambitions, someone sitting behind the Sheriff’s Department social media login decided the real priority was to virtue signal for Iran.
And to nobody’s surprise, the internet erupted. Actually, the backlash was so brutal that the department tried to quietly scrub the post and pretend it never happened. Too late. Screenshots live forever. The internet never forgets.
In short, the original post absurdly claimed their “hearts go out to the victims,” meaning Iran’s bombed nuclear sites, and assured residents they were monitoring the situation. Never mind that Trump’s strike had zero impact on LA County and the clueless author clearly had zero idea what actually happened.
The post read like it was drafted by a blue-haired CNN intern, not sworn law enforcement professionals.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department amended and deleted a social media post Sunday where it expressed condolences for the “tragic” U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear sites.
“Our hearts go out to the victims and families impacted by the recent bombings in Iran,” the post on X stated. “While this tragic event happened overseas, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is closely monitoring the situation alongside our local, state and federal partners.”
The department eventually amended the post, which deleted the sentence regarding the U.S. strikes before it was removed from X altogether. It was not clear if anyone was harmed or killed during the operation.
A sheriff’s department spokesperson told Fox News Digital that he wasn’t aware of the initial post expressing condolences.

Fordow, which many international experts believe is key to Iran’s nuclear program, is buried almost 300 feet beneath a mountain.
“At midnight Friday into Saturday morning, a large B-2 strike package comprised of bombers launched from the continental United States,” Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine said during a Sunday morning press conference from the Pentagon.
Caine said the U.S. was able to maintain the element of surprise during the entire operation.
Iranian officials were still assessing the significance of the strikes, but the Trump administration has described them as a success that has degraded Tehran’s ability to develop a nuclear weapon.
Apparently, somebody in the LA Sheriff’s department really wants Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
After getting ratioed into oblivion and beyond, the Sheriff’s Department admitted the post was “unacceptable” and claimed it “does not reflect the views” of Sheriff Robert Luna or the Department as a whole.
They now say they’ve launched an “internal review” to figure out which woke keyboard warrior hit “post” on that PR mess.
People online want to know who the employee was and what will happen to them:
To be fair, some woke intern wrote it… but it doesn’t change much considering they were telling us “protests were peaceful”…
“Tell us who made the original tweet.”
“That person needs to be publicly shamed and fired.”
“Yea they know who posted it. They posted it for a reason. The only reason they issued this was because of the backlash. They intended to post the original post. Thats truly how they feel. The current state of LA proves my point”

This is what happens when Trump Derangement Syndrome rots out basic rationale and judgment… you get law enforcement agencies apologizing for broken nukes in Iran while violent crime in Los Angeles continues to spiral out of control.

Whoever decided to play foreign policy expert on the Sheriff’s account should be out of a job by now. Let this be a reminder to the rest of us just how deep the rot runs in these so-called professional institutions.
