In 2018, the liberal media patted themselves on the back for taking down Roy Moore, a Republican Senate candidate from Alabama. The takedown followed the usual pattern. Moore was attacked over allegations from 40 years ago. Allegations that were unproven, disputed, and oh-so-perfectly politically timed. The Washington Post, naturally, led the charge. They published the hit piece, won their little gold trophy, and got their high-fives in the newsroom.
Here’s a snippet from the so-called 40-year-old “bombshell” they used to destroy Roy Moore.
Leigh Corfman says she was 14 years old when an older man approached her outside a courtroom in Etowah County, Ala. She was sitting on a wooden bench with her mother, they both recall, when the man introduced himself as Roy Moore.
It was early 1979 and Moore — now the Republican nominee in Alabama for a U.S. Senate seat — was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney. He struck up a conversation, Corfman and her mother say, and offered to watch the girl while her mother went inside for a child custody hearing.
“He said, ‘Oh, you don’t want her to go in there and hear all that. I’ll stay out here with her,’ ” says Corfman’s mother, Nancy Wells, 71. “I thought, how nice for him to want to take care of my little girl.”Alone with Corfman, Moore chatted with her and asked for her phone number, she says. Days later, she says, he picked her up around the corner from her house in Gadsden, drove her about 30 minutes to his home in the woods, told her how pretty she was and kissed her. On a second visit, she says, he took off her shirt and pants and removed his clothes. He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear.
“I wanted it over with — I wanted out,” she remembers thinking. “Please just get this over with. Whatever this is, just get it over.” Corfman says she asked Moore to take her home, and he did.
And now, one of those very same “heroes of journalism” has just been arrested for child porn.

Thomas Pham LeGro, a Washington Post journalist who was part of the team that torched Roy Moore’s career, has been caught with a stash of child sexual abuse material on his work laptop.
Here’s LeGro’s WAPO bio:
Meanwhile, back in Mr. LeGro’s neck of the woods, federal agents found a folder with eleven child porn videos. LeGro was so panicked, he even tried destroying the hard drives right as agents arrived.
“During the execution of the search warrant agents observed what appeared to be fractured pieces of a hard drive in the hallway outside the room where LeGro’s work laptop was found.”
It didn’t work.
Umm. According to this story in the Washington Post, he was one of the reporters on the stories that exposed Roy Moore for dating underage girls….. https://t.co/T0BA10skL4 pic.twitter.com/yWPWBbzoeO

And now, the same media establishment that showered him with praise and trophies will do what they always do… quietly bury the story and pretend it never happened.
It’s a pattern. It’s who they are.
We’ve seen this all before. The left has always projected their filth onto their enemies. They accuse others of the very sins they’re secretly committing behind closed doors. They called Trump a tyrant while building a surveillance state. They called Roy Moore a predator while handing out Pulitzers to one. They scream “fascist” while pushing Marxist garbage and dragging this country into censorship, lawfare, and economic despair.
Thomas Pham LeGro, 48, made his first appearance today in U.S. District Court for allegedly possessing child pornography. LeGro, a journalist at the Washington Post and resident of the District of Columbia, was arrested yesterday and taken into custody following a search of his home.
The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro. Pirro thanks FBI Assistant Director in Charge Steven J. Jensen and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department for their ongoing efforts in this investigation.
On June 26, 2025, FBI agents executed a search warrant at LeGro’s residence and seized several electronic devices. A review of LeGro’s work laptop revealed a folder that contained 11 videos depicting child sexual abuse material.

This case is being investigated by the FBI Washington Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, which is composed of FBI agents, along with other federal agents and detectives from northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. The task force is charged with investigating and bringing federal charges against individuals engaged in the exploitation of children and those engaged in human trafficking.
This matter is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Caroline Burrell and Janani Iyengar for the District of Columbia.
And when the mask slips? They say nothing. No apology. No retraction. No soul-searching. Just rinse and repeat.

And once again, the Left’s so-called moral high ground collapses under the weight of its own lies, projection, and rot. These days, the real predators usually aren’t the ones being pointed at; they’re the ones doing the pointing.
And while all of this unfolds, the once-prestigious Pulitzer Prize keeps taking a beating. It’s starting to feel about as respectable as a middle school participation trophy.
