There’s a tick spreading across the US that’s giving people an allergy to red meat. No, this isn’t some fringe conspiracy theory; it’s actually real, and it’s called Alpha-gal Syndrome. It starts with the bite of a Lone Star tick, and for some people, it ends with a permanent allergic reaction to beef, lamb, pork, even dairy and gelatin. Some farmers and ranchers who get it can’t even go near their own livestock without reacting.

Is the government on top of this? Well, it’s hard to say, because we sure haven’t heard the kind of urgency this situation deserves. We’ve known about this tick for over two years. And let’s be honest, the Biden regime had zero incentive to solve it. If anything, they benefit from it. But fixing this mess is right in President Trump’s wheelhouse.

They weaponized the ticks, denied everything, and left Americans sick for generations. In the late 1960s, US bioweapons labs began injecting ticks with exotic pathogens. Not long after, strange illnesses started showing up near those labs. Today, Lyme disease is everywhere. And the government still won’t admit a thing.

The really worrying part of this tick/beef nightmare scenario is that deer are carrying this tick into new parts of the country, and every week more cases pop up in areas that have never seen it before. The science is legit, the concern is real, and yet, barely anyone in government is treating this with any urgency.

Alpha-gal syndrome is a type of food allergy. It makes people allergic to red meat and other products made from mammals.

In the United States, the condition usually begins with the bite of the Lone Star tick. The bite transfers a sugar molecule called alpha-gal into the body. In some people, this triggers a reaction from the body’s defenses, also called the immune system. It causes mild to severe allergic reactions to red meat, such as beef, pork or lamb. It also can cause reactions to other foods that come from mammals, such as dairy products or gelatins.

The Lone Star tick is found mainly in the southeastern United States. Most cases of alpha-gal syndrome are reported in the south, east and central United States. But the condition appears to be spreading farther north and west. Deer are carrying the Lone Star tick to new parts of the country. Other types of ticks carry alpha-gal molecules in different parts of the world. Alpha-gal syndrome has been diagnosed in parts of Europe, Australia, Asia, South Africa, and South and Central America.

Some people may have alpha-gal syndrome and not know it. There are people who often have serious allergic reactions, also called anaphylactic reactions, for no clear reason. Tests also show that they don’t have other food allergies. Researchers think that some of these people may be affected by alpha-gal syndrome.

There’s no treatment other than avoiding red meat and other products made from mammals. If you have a serious allergic reaction, you may need medicine called epinephrine and treatment at the emergency room.

But here’s what really raises eyebrows…

A Pentagon-funded company is seeking proposals to feed America’s soldiers lab-grown meat in a bid to “reduce the CO2 footprint” at Defense Department outposts.

BioMADE, a public-private company that has received more than $500 million in funding from the Defense Department, announced earlier this month that it is seeking proposals to develop “innovations in food production that reduce the CO2 footprint of food production at … DoD operational environments,” according to an online announcement.

These include “novel cell culture methods suitable for the production of cultivated meat/protein,” or lab-grown meat, a product that is still in its experimental phases. This type of meat is grown in a lab from animal cells with the aid of other chemicals, and has emerged as a flashpoint in debates about the efficacy and morality of manufacturing meat products without slaughtering animals.

BioMADE—which earlier this year received a $450 million infusion of taxpayer cash—maintains that lab-grown food products will reduce the Pentagon’s carbon footprint, a priority for the American military as it pursues a Biden administration-mandate to address climate change and other cultural issues that critics describe as “woke.”
