Every Memorial Day, Americans honor those who died serving this country. But year after year, that same weekend also plays host to something else: a disturbing and growing trend of chaos and violence at large black gatherings. While the media races to spotlight any incident involving white conservatives, they seem to always look the other way when violence breaks out at black events. It’s as if acknowledging the pattern would ruin their finely crafted narrative that “whitey” is destroying democracy.

But sadly, this Memorial Day was a bloody mess for many people.

From a shootout on a docked charter boat to a concert stampede at Black Bike Week, two massive events descended into violence, leaving dozens injured, including some in critical condition. These weren’t just isolated scuffles. They were full-blown breakdowns of behavior, sparked by arguments and ego, and they reflect a much larger issue that no one seems willing to talk about.

Have you been on a Carnival Cruise or a Spirit Airlines flight lately?

Collin Rugg:

NEW: Wild fight breaks out on a Carnival cruise ship to Central America at 3am after “a bunch of drunk girls from Tampa” had a disagreement.

This narrator did a tremendous job.

43-year-old passenger Nick Richardson said he was going to get some pizza when he walked into a war zone.

“Those girls were already set on what they were gonna do. It just got out of hand very, very quickly. And that’s how it happens. You’re just drinking too much,” Richardson said.

Carnival released a statement about the incident, saying the guests involved were fined and are banned from sailing again.

“As is our policy, we will not tolerate such behavior and the guests involved were fined and will not sail on Carnival Cruise Line again,” they said.

And that brawl between Spirit Airlines passengers at the Philly airport was an absolute humdinger.

Watch:

It’s now taboo to even talk about crime stats by race; facts are now “racist.” But the numbers don’t lie, and they paint a pretty clear and very disturbing picture.

Black Americans make up about 12 percent of the US population. Whites make up roughly 72 percent. So, in a rational world, crime rates would track with those proportions. But they don’t. Not even close.

According to 2019 data, Black Americans, mostly men, were responsible for 51.2 percent of all murders, 26.7 percent of all rapes, 52 percent of all robberies, and 33.2 percent of all felony assaults.

Why is it that so many young Black Americans can’t resolve everyday conflict without turning it into a knock-down, drag-out brawl or a full-blown shootout like it’s the OK Corral? And how much longer are we going to pretend this isn’t a cultural crisis?

The people at that Memorial Day boat party in Myrtle Beach are probably asking themselves the same thing right about now.

Mr. Gunsngear:

Horry County (Myrtle Beach) officials are reporting that after the “Rock Tha Boat Memorial Weekend Day Boat Party” boat returned to the dock and was unloading a 100+ person fight broke out and at least 10 people were shot. Plan accordingly…

That boating event in Little River, South Carolina, was supposed to be a fun gathering on a charter boat, but it ended in bloodshed. As passengers stepped off the boat, they “started shooting each other.”

NBC News:

A charter boat “altercation” erupted into gunfire Sunday in South Carolina, wounding at least 10 people and leaving another person with injuries, authorities said. Horry County police said in a statement Monday that investigators were still working “to identify the person or persons responsible for the incident” in Little River, a beach town about 25 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach.

“Thus far, the investigation indicates that the shooting was an isolated event that resulted from an altercation during a private Memorial Day weekend gathering on a charter boat,” police said. “The boat was docked at the time of the incident.”

The most seriously wounded people were listed in “critical but stable condition,” police said. Passengers had just docked when shooting erupted on the marina, said Harold Wiegel, a partner of nearby business Myrtle Beach Adventures. “When they got off the boat, they just started shooting each other,” Wiegel told NBC News.

And if that’s not bad enough, just one night earlier, another Black Memorial Day event unraveled into mass chaos and bloodshed. This time at Black Bike Week in Atlantic Beach.

Watch:

The place was trashed as well.

Look:

A concert turned into a brawl after a fight broke out in the crowd, triggering a literal stampede. At least 19 people were hospitalized, some for injuries from being trampled, others from dehydration and panic.

The Independent:

Authorities are investigating after a concert at Black Bike Week in Atlantic Beach, South Carolina, descended into chaos Saturday night, resulting in multiple injuries that sent people to the hospital, according to local reports. The annual Memorial Day weekend event, which draws in thousands of bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts, many from the Black community, turned into a chaotic scene with multiple people injured after an apparent argument led to a stampede, The Sun News reported.

While at least 19 people were taken to the hospital in ambulances, earlier reports and rumors spreading online of mass casualties are false, Atlantic Beach Police Interim Chief Carlos Castillo said. Fights erupted during a concert that was taking place Saturday night into early Sunday, causing the crowd to panic. Law enforcement said fights broke out, but they believed agitators ran and disappeared into the crowd, Castillo told The Sun News.

Those hospitalized were injured for a variety of reasons, including being trampled, heat exhaustion and dehydration. No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon.

This is just more of that disturbing pattern of young black Americans who cannot control their rage or handle conflict with basic, everyday problem-solving skills.

And what’s worse is the timing. These newest violent outbursts happened right around the anniversary of George Floyd’s death, a moment that’s been turned into an annual ritual of grieving and victimhood. Floyd, who was a violent career criminal, is treated like a civil rights hero. But that’s not just an absurdity; it’s actually dangerous. Because when you elevate dysfunction, you teach the next generation to emulate it.

The Black community doesn’t lack strong role models; there are plenty of men and women worth looking up to. But instead, the left keeps hero-worshiping criminals, rage-driven influencers, and professional victims. Just look at failed VP candidate Tim Walz, who used his Memorial Day message to honor a man who once held a loaded gun to a pregnant woman’s stomach while his buddies robbed and ransacked her home.

A culture that glorifies criminals will keep acting like them.
