Washington, D.C. isn’t just broken—it’s lawless, rotten, and drowning in weaponized politics. But President Trump’s interim pick to lead the US Attorney’s Office in D.C. is exactly what that city needs to finally turn the tide. Ed Martin, Jr., isn’t just another name with a fancy-sounding title. He’s a man with a mission: restore law and order, drive out the criminal rot, and put an end to the era of politically motivated prosecutions. He’s already making waves—and it’s exactly the kind of shake-up the swamp has feared for years.

We want to see Ed Martin confirmed as the permanent US Attorney for D.C. because he’s not just talking tough—he’s bringing real ideas to clean up the city’s soaring crime and crush the Left’s lawfare machine once and for all.

We encourage everybody to reach out to their senators and tell them to confirm Ed Martin.

Article 3 Project:

Ed Martin is President Trump’s choice to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. President Trump has praised Martin for his exceptional service as interim U.S. Attorney, commending his relentless efforts to restore law and order to our nation’s capital and make DC safer and more beautiful. Martin has built a reputation as a fearless attorney, known for his strong involvement in conservative causes, including his work at Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum and his co-authorship of The Conservative Case for Trump in 2016.

Before taking on his role as U.S. Attorney, Martin spent two decades running his own successful law practice. His extensive legal experience, coupled with his unwavering commitment to constitutional legal principles, makes him exceptionally qualified to lead the federal law enforcement community in Washington, D.C. Contact your senators today to tell them to vote yes on the confirmation of Ed Martin for U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Ed’s push to support the banning of all violent offenders from the D.C. Metro is exactly the kind of bold, common-sense move this city needs. It’s a step toward giving law-abiding Americans the safety and stability they deserve while commuting through a capital that’s been way too dangerous for far too long.

Martin took to X to promote this plan:

Ed is all about making the scary D.C. streets safe again.

Ed Martin and President Trump are completely aligned. They both understand that Making America Great Again starts with making our nation’s capital the most secure, orderly, and law-abiding city in the country. D.C. should be a shining city on a hill—an example of strength, justice, and real leadership for the rest of America to follow.

The point is this: Ed Martin’s not just walking into the fire—he’s barreling in with his own blowtorch. His deep roots in conservative law and politics have given him the chutzpah to push back against a power-crazed government and stand up for American values. He’s the former president of the Phyllis Schlafly Eagles and the Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund, two powerhouse institutions still carrying the torch of one of the right’s most fearless female leaders.

And speaking of Ed’s work as president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, he delivered a barn-burner of a speech at their recent event in Naples, Florida. He addressed the regime’s growing abuse of lawfare. Ed serves on President Trump’s task force investigating the weaponization of government—and he actually called out the Douglass Mackey case several times during his speech. As you’ll recall, Mackey’s case was one of the first “test runs” the regime launched right after Biden was installed. Mackey was tried and convicted of election conspiracy—for posting a funny, satirical anti-Hillary meme.

That case was the blueprint. The dry run. And it set the stage for everything that followed, including the lawfare campaign that was waged against President Trump.

Martin also served on the board of the Patriot Freedom Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raised funds to provide financial assistance and relief for J6ers and their families during our nation’s darkest hour of weaponized government. Freedom fighter Cynthia Hughes, the founder and president of the Patriot Freedom Project, had this to say to Revolver News about her time working with Ed:

Ed Martin dove into the Patriot Freedom Project without hesitation — offering his time, his talents, and his heart to support our mission and stand beside the men and women politically persecuted in the aftermath of January 6. Almost instantly, a strong friendship formed, and over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Ed — learning from him, growing with him, and being continually inspired by his unwavering commitment to helping and leading.

Ed’s dedication, leadership, and deep commitment to the men and women affected by January 6 have been nothing short of inspiring. He has been a consistent and powerful advocate for every family impacted by January 6th.

While I’ve long known how invaluable Ed is, I believe that Washington, D.C. is just beginning to realize what a force he truly is.

Martin has already had his boots on the ground in D.C. as Acting US Attorney, and he’s fighting for fairness for all Americans.

Martin’s no stranger to hard fights. As chief of staff to Missouri Governor Matt Blunt, a former GOP nominee for Congress and Attorney General, chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, and a key player on the 2024 RNC Platform Committee, Ed has spent so many decades in the trenches of political warfare. He knows how this screwed-up machine works—and more importantly, he knows how to dismantle the rot. That’s exactly why Trump tapped him. His appointment as Acting US Attorney for D.C. made headlines—not just because he broke the mold by coming in without a typical political résumé but because he came in ready to clean house. Attorney Mike Davis put it best: “Ed Martin, my close friend, is President Trump’s perfect choice to serve as his United States Attorney for the District of Columbia.”

We couldn’t agree more. In fact, we reached out to Mr. Davis for an updated comment on Ed Martin’s potential confirmation—and here’s what he had to say:

“Ed Martin must be confirmed as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia because he will prioritize public safety, focusing on cracking down on street crime and gun violence. His leadership will restore accountability to an office that was politicized and abused by the Biden administration. With a clear commitment to making D.C. safer, Ed will ensure the law is applied fairly and protect all residents, especially those in crime-ridden neighborhoods that are ignored by the woke D.C. leadership.”

That says it all.

Ed’s move to D.C. couldn’t have come at a more critical time. The Biden DOJ turned the D.C. Attorney’s office into a political hit squad—persecuting Trump supporters, elderly pro-life Christians, and anyone who dared to dissent, while giving violent criminals a free pass to run wild in America’s capital.

In fact, Ed’s predecessor, Matthew Graves, became notorious for failing to prosecute criminals, most notably those arrested for gun possession, drug possession, and burglaries.

Ed Martin isn’t having it, and he’s doing exactly the opposite of Biden’s soft-on-crime regime.

Additionally, as Politico reported last week, Ed is expanding the investigation into Matthew Graves’ abuse of US Code to politically persecute the J6ers.

Politico:

The Trump administration’s top prosecutor in Washington, D.C., told staff Friday he is expanding an investigation into the decision by the Justice Department to level felony obstruction charges against hundreds of people who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin, a vocal advocate for those defendants before President Donald Trump appointed him, called the decision the “greatest failure of legal judgment” since Japanese internment during World War II, according to an internal email reviewed by POLITICO.

“We have contacted lawyers, staff and judges about this — and sought their feedback,” Martin said in the Friday morning “Dear Colleague” email, adding “We continue to look at who ordered the [obstruction charges] and why.”

Martin indicated early in his tenure that one of his priorities would be to review how the decision to bring obstruction charges against Jan. 6 defendants was made.

Martin has vowed to restore law and order in the nation’s most lawless city and bring accountability back to the office. That means real justice, not political theater. And it means cracking down hard on the street violence that’s devastated D.C. for far too long.

Every once in a while, the right man shows up at exactly the perfect time. That man is Ed Martin. He’s not just ready for this moment—he was made for it. In a time when America needs bold, fearless leadership to take on and destroy corruption, lawfare, and left-wing lawlessness, Ed is the warrior we need to lead the charge and take back our nation’s capital.
